Threaded Flow-Adjustment Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings

Connect these valves to fire hydrants, fire pumps, and fire hoses to adjust the flow of water. Ideal for fighting fires, their internal gate allows unrestricted flow when fully open, unlike globe valves. However, you should only use these valves in emergencies when full flow is needed—they get damaged by throttling over time. They have a nonrising stem that stays in the same spot whether they’re open or closed.
Wheel Handle—377 Brass Body with Brass Gate
Image of Product. Front orientation. Flow-Adjustment Valves. Threaded Flow-Adjustment Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings, Wheel Handle.
Valves with a wheel handle take up less space than valves with a speed handle. The included hose cap protects them from dirt and debris. It’s connected to the valve with a chain, so you won’t lose it.
Flow Coefficient (Cv)—Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.

Speed Handle—Red Brass Body with Bronze Gate
Image of Product. Front orientation. Flow-Adjustment Valves. Threaded Flow-Adjustment Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings, Speed Handle, Brass Body.
Valves with a speed handle can be turned with one hand, unlike valves with a wheel handle. Quickly connect the fittings to hydrants, pumps, and hoses with the easy-to-grip pin lugs on the sides. Tighten them with a hook-style spanner wrench. To prevent kinking when you’re connecting a hose, the fittings swivel until tightened. These valves are red so people know they’re fire valves.

    Threaded Flow-Adjustment Valves for Fuel

To automatically shut off the flow of diesel fuel, fuel oil, kerosene, and oil in case of fire, these valves automatically close and the handle permanently fuses in place when the ambient temperature reaches 165° F. To reuse the valve, replace the handle (sold separately).

Diverting Valves with Fire-Fighting Hose Fittings

Control the flow of water in two directions from a single source—these diverting valves have two balls and handles for independent operation of each outlet. They can direct flow to one side outlet at full capacity while shutting off flow to the second side outlet, direct flow to both side outlets at reduced capacity, or shut off flow to both side outlets. Valves have a brass body for good corrosion resistance. They are for use with fire-fighting hose.

    Pipeline Flame Arresters

Image of Product. Front orientation. Flame Arresters. Pipeline Flame Arresters.
To prevent flashback in flammable gas pipelines, an internal flame-arresting element absorbs the heat from a fire to extinguish the flame. These valves are commonly used in pilot lines connected to waste gas burners.

    Arresters for Flammable Vapors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Flame Arresters. Arresters for Flammable Vapors.
Minimize fire hazard from flammable vapors. Mount an arrester to your vent pipe to stop flames from traveling back into your tank. If the ambient temperature reaches 165° F, the fusible links melt, and the cover closes to block flames from the arrester.
Replacement Fusible Links—To reuse the arrester, replace the fusible links (sold separately).
