About Flowmeters and Totalizers
Flowmeters measure the rate of flow for a liquid or a gas. Totalizers measure the cumulative flow volume. Flowmeter/totalizers display both the flow rate and the cumulative flow volume.

Flanged Totalizers for Drinking Water

Flanged ends let you securely integrate these totalizers into large drinking water pipelines to measure the cumulative amount of water flowing through them. They meet NSF/ANSI 61, so they're safe to use with drinking water. They measure flow volume by counting how many times their turbine turns as liquid flows through. To avoid clogging the turbine and other damage to the sensor, use them only with clean, low-viscosity liquids. Their total cannot be reset.
These totalizers are calibrated with water. You can use them with other liquids, but they may not measure accurately if the liquid’s viscosity differs from water.
Optional elliptical flange kit lets you convert elliptical flanges to NPT female connections.

Totalizers for Drinking Water

Meeting NSF/ANSI 61, these totalizers measure the cumulative amount of drinking water flowing through them. They use positive displacement, so they measure the flow by passing specific volumes of liquid through their chamber. Their total cannot be reset. Install them directly inline with your pipe system using the fittings on each end. They have a low-flow indicator to detect leaks in your system.
These totalizers are calibrated with drinking water. You can use them with other liquids, but they may not measure accurately if the liquid’s viscosity differs from drinking water.

Remote-Reading Totalizers for Drinking Water

Often used in hard-to-access areas, these totalizers let you monitor the total amount of drinking water flowing through them up to 250 feet away. They meet NSF/ANSI 61 for safe use with drinking water. They use positive displacement, so they measure flow by passing specific volumes of liquid through a chamber. Their total cannot be reset. Mount them inline with your pipe system. They have a low-flow indicator to detect leaks in your system.
These totalizers are calibrated with drinking water. You can use them with other liquids, but they may not measure accurately if the liquid’s viscosity differs from drinking water.
Cable for remote display (sold separately) connects the display to the totalizer.

Sanitary Electronic Insertion Flow Switches
Easy to clean and install, these flow switches are 3-A certified to meet sanitary design standards and insert into your line with a quick-clamp mounting adapter (sold separately). They have a smooth probe, and unlike flow switches that measure with a paddle or turbine, these don’t have moving parts for contaminants to get stuck in. Rated IP67 and IP69K, they withstand temporary submersion and high-temperature, high-pressure washdowns. The mounting adapter attaches to a quick-clamp tube tee or outlet (often called tri-clamp fittings) in your large-diameter tubing system using a gasket and clamp (not included), so you don't need to disassemble your line for inline installation. This mounting adapter is also easy to remove and clean.
They send digital signals to your programmable logic controller (PLC) to activate automated controls or alarms when they reach a set flow rate. To calculate the flow rate, they generate a small amount of heat, then measure the cooling effect your liquid or gas has on it. This makes them ideal in applications with fluctuating temperatures. Use the buttons on the display to adjust the set point and other settings. They’re accurate in any mounting orientation.
