Sanitary Stainless Steel Washdown Enclosures

Lift-Off Cover

Hinged Cover

With a hygienic design, these enclosures minimize spots where food, debris, and water could collect after washdowns. Use them to house and mount switches, buttons, and other components in sanitary environments. Each has a sloped roof that lets liquid drain quickly without pooling. They’re IP66 and IP69K rated, meaning they withstand the high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns that are typical in food processing plants. Made of stainless steel, these enclosures won’t corrode from frequent contact with harsh cleaners and sanitizers.

The seal on these enclosures keeps water and other contaminants from getting in. It’s FDA-compliant for direct food contact, meaning it won’t contaminate food if it breaks off and falls into your line. It’s bright blue too, so it’s easy to spot and remove.

For use indoors or out, these enclosures are also NEMA 4X and NEMA 13 rated to protect against dirt, oil, water, and coolant. UL and C-UL listed, they meet U.S. and Canadian safety standards.

Enclosures with a lift-off cover have internal mounting bosses for attaching small electrical devices, components, and DIN rail.

Enclosures with a hinged cover have an internal hinge that lets the seal cover the entire door opening joint free. They have one or two locks, each of which has an external locking design without any crevices where water and bacteria could build up. Mount components to the removable panel.

To leave space for cleaning behind your enclosure, offset it from the wall with a sanitary standoff.
