Check fuel injection pressure to maintain your car's gas mileage. Attach these testers to your fuel line and idle the engine to test—stable pressure readings indicate that all is well. Fluctuations in pressure can result from a number of issues, including a failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, faulty fuel pressure regulator, or leaking fuel injectors.
