Plastic Funnels

Use these plastic funnels to direct the flow of liquids and powders in lab, food prep, and maintenance tasks.
Styles B, C, and D have an angled spout to direct the flow of liquid, so there’s less chance of splashing. Style D have spiral ridges on the inside that help liquids drain quickly even when using filter paper.
Funnels with a vented spout let gases escape to prevent pressure buildup and vapor lock. This helps liquids flow smoothly without burping or spilling.

Metal Funnels with Filter

Strain samples as you transfer them into containers. Made of metal, these funnels are more durable and withstand higher temperatures than plastic funnels. Their filter is removable, making it easy to clean or replace. Take it out to funnel samples you don’t need to strain.
Stainless steel funnels are the most corrosion resistant. They withstand harsh chemicals, frequent washdowns, and cleaners.
Stainless steel filters hold up the best to wear, corrosion, and sanitizing. Funnels with a vented spout let gases escape to prevent pressure buildup and vapor lock. This helps liquids flow smoothly without burping or spilling.

Glass Funnels

Made of borosilicate glass, these funnels withstand higher temperatures and harsher chemicals than plastic funnels. Unlike some plastic, glass doesn’t leach, meaning it won’t contaminate samples. These funnels meet strict ASTM standards for laboratory glassware material and dimensions.
Style A funnels are often used with filter paper. The angled spout opening helps liquids flow smoothly without splashing.

Filtering Funnels

Separate solids and liquids. Also known as Buchner funnels, these funnels have a built-in perforated plate—use it by itself or to hold filter paper. Since the plate is built in, all solid material is collected on top while liquid filters through uncontaminated.
To speed up the filtration process, use these funnels with a vacuum flask. Place them into the flask’s stopper for an airtight seal.
Borosilicate glass funnels stand up to harsher chemicals than porcelain funnels but are more fragile. They also filter finer particles without filter paper. Since they’re clear, they’re best for highly precise work where you need to closely monitor the process.
