Plastic Funnels

Styles A, B, and C have outside ridges that prevent vapor lock.
Style E has inside ridges that cause liquids to drain quickly.
Gentle-Flow Plastic Funnels

Gently add liquid to not disturb other contents. These funnels are often used for chromatography. Instead of an open spout, they have four small outlets on the side of the spout. As you pour, the liquid splits into even streams and flows down the container wall, calmly pooling at the bottom.

Rubber Funnels

Squeeze the mouth on these funnels and twist the spout—they’re made of rubber to flex into snug spots.
Style A have a thicker spout wall than Style B, so the spout can be bent at sharper angles without kinking and restricting flow.

Filtering Funnels

Separate solids and liquids. Also known as Buchner funnels, these funnels have a built-in perforated plate—use it by itself or to hold filter paper. Since the plate is built in, all solid material is collected on top while liquid filters through uncontaminated.
To speed up the filtration process, use these funnels with a vacuum flask. Place them into the flask’s stopper for an airtight seal.
Porcelain funnels handle temperatures more than two times higher than glass funnels and are less likely to chip or break. They withstand most chemicals, but their glaze can be damaged by highly corrosive ones, such as hydrofluoric acid.
