Insulating Wrap-Around Heaters for Pails, Drums, and Totes

Also known as heat blankets, these heaters completely surround containers for fast heating and increased heat retention in unheated and drafty areas. Do not use in hazardous areas.
Heaters with an adjustable thermostat automatically turn on when the temperature drops below your set temperature and off when it rises above your set temperature. Adjust the set temperature with the keypad.
Heaters with a nonadjustable thermostat output a consistent heat and turn on and off intermittently to maintain that temperature. Since you can’t change their heat output, there’s no need to monitor them and no risk of tampering, which could damage containers and their contents.
Add insulated top covers to reduce heat loss and speed up heating.

Hazardous Location Insulating Wrap-Around Heaters for Drums and Totes

These ETL-listed heaters keep containers warm in areas where hazardous material is present. Also known as heat blankets, they surround drums and totes to heat them up quickly. They’re also insulated with foam or fiberglass to retain heat. They have a built-in thermostat that cycles on and off to keep contents at a set temperature. There's no need to monitor these heaters—since the temperature can’t be changed, there’s no risk of tampering.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate whether manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in a hazardous environment. Before selecting a product for a hazardous location, ensure it is rated for your environment. See About Hazardous Location Environmental Ratings.

Insulating Wrap-Around Heaters for Gas Cylinders

Strap these heaters around cylinders to keep gas flowing when the temperature drops. Also known as heat blankets, they heat cylinders from the outside, safely warming liquefied gas enough so that it can vaporize. They’re also lined with acrylic insulation to retain heat. The thermostat is adjustable, and it automatically turns the heater on or off to keep your cylinder at a consistent temperature. They’re sized to fit industry-standard cylinders.
Made with tough Cordura fabric, these heaters resist mold and mildew, and they’re difficult to tear. Both the fabric and the NEMA 4X-rated controller are weather-resistant, so you can install these heaters on outdoor tanks. Check the current temperature on the LCD display and use the keypad to make changes. Do not use these heaters in hazardous areas.

Insulating Wrap-Around Heaters for Propane Tanks

Keep gas flowing even when the temperature drops—also known as heat blankets, these heaters wrap around propane tanks to safely warm liquefied gas so it can vaporize. They’re insulated with foam, so they retain heat even in chilly environments. Their built-in thermostat heats up to 90° F, then automatically adjusts the power output to keep your tank consistently warm. Because you can’t adjust the thermostat, there’s no risk of accidentally changing the set temperature. These heaters are sized to fit industry-standard propane tanks. Quickly install and remove them using the buckles or latches.
Made of heavy duty vinyl, these heaters stand up to scuffs, water, and UV rays, so they last even outdoors. The vinyl is NFPA rated for flame retardance; however, you shouldn’t use these heaters near combustible gases or dust. A GFCI is built into the power cord to prevent electrical shocks.

Magnetic-Mount Heaters for Tanks

Often used to heat oil and transmission fluid, these heaters attach to containers with flat metal surfaces for heating contents without direct contact. All automatically shut off if the heater temperature rises above the maximum heat output to prevent overheating.

Hazardous Location Adhesive-Mount Heat Sheets

FM approved, these heat sheets are safe for use in areas with infrequent exposure, such as from a spill or a ventilation system failure, to flammable gases, liquids, and dust. They are flexible and permanently adhere to container surfaces to warm contents without direct contact. All have a watt density of 2.5 W/sq. in. for gentle warming. Heaters require a temperature switch or controller to regulate heat output and should be installed with Dow Corning 736 silicone sealant (both not included).
Note: Do not cut, crease, or overlap these heaters—this will damage the heating element. Use a roller during installation to remove air pockets and ensure direct surface contact. Once heaters have been applied to a surface, they cannot be removed and reused.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate whether manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in a hazardous environment. Portable Large-Space Gas Heaters

Built for big jobs, these are powerful space heaters.
All have a safety shut-off that cuts the gas supply if the flame goes out.
Propane heaters have a regulator with a NGO connection (the same connection between your gas grill and propane tank).
Heaters with a built-in thermostat allow you to control the temperature. On heaters controlled with a knob, turn the knob to adjust heat output.
Style A heaters use convection to circulate warm air. They have a pilot light ignition and do not require electricity.
Style B heaters have an electronic spark ignition and are good for drafty areas where a pilot light could be extinguished.
