Use the Mitutoyo gauge blocks in these sets individually or together to take precise measurements or calibrate your measuring tools. They are often used to mark layouts, align machine components, and check that parts are within tolerance. All come with a certificate traceable to NIST to certify they were calibrated in a lab and meet tight tolerances. The blocks are individually numbered for recalibration.
Put multiple gauge blocks together in a gauge holder (not included) to create a custom repeatable measurement. Add wear blocks (not included) on each end to prevent your gauge block combinations from wearing down over time.
Each block has a grade per ASME B89.1.9. Grades are based on tolerance—the smaller the tolerance, the greater the accuracy.
Grade 0 Gauge Block—Grade 0 gauge blocks are our most accurate. They help verify that precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, are taking accurate readings.
Optical Flat—Sets with an optical flat come with a polished glass disc to inspect gauge blocks for wear. Place the optical flat on the block and look at the resulting light pattern—if the lines you see are curved, the block is worn.
Steel—Steel blocks are the most common choice for gauge blocks.

    Mitutoyo Gauge Block Sets

Use the Mitutoyo gauge blocks in these sets individually or together to take precise measurements or calibrate your measuring tools. They are often used to mark layouts, align machine components, and check that parts are within tolerance. All blocks include a certificate of compliance to certify their sizes are within tolerance. The certificate also lists when each block will require recalibration.
