Cut- and Arc-Flash-Protection Gloves
Often used for maintaining low-voltage electrical equipment, these gloves protect you from arc flashes and sharp edges. They meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for cut, abrasion, puncture, or heat resistance. They’re also tested to meet either NFPA 70E or ASTM F2675 standards for arc-flash protection. All have an arc rating, which measures their ability to insulate the wearer from burns. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Made with Aramid fabric, these gloves resist radiant heat and flames.
They also have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. Gloves with an A4 rating can be worn when working with sharp-edged materials such as sheet metal and glass. A5-rated gloves can be used for cutting with blades or handling sharp wire. Wear A7-rated gloves to protect against knife points and the sharp edges of metal stamps and presses.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for resistance to abrasions, cuts, tears, punctures, or impacts. Those that meet EN 407 comply with European standards for resistance to heat and flames.

Heat-, Cut-, and Arc-Flash-Protection Gloves
Designed with the hazards of utility maintenance and oil and gas rigs in mind, these gloves can handle your tough conditions. They protect your hands from extremely hot equipment, sharp objects, and arc flashes. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
These gloves also meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as resistance to cuts, abrasions, punctures, and heat. A higher rating means better protection. All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. A4 is the most common cut rating for industrial applications. These gloves can be worn when working with sharp-edged materials such as sheet metal and glass. Wear A7 gloves when working with food processing knives or sharp metal stamps and presses. A8 gloves are ideal for handling spikes and bulky objects with sharp edges.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for resistance to abrasions, tears, cuts, and punctures. These gloves also meet EN 407 standards for heat resistance.
