Flame-Resistant Work Gloves

Originally designed for use when repairing gas leaks, these gloves won’t drip, melt, or ignite when exposed to flames or sparks. Layers of Nomex and Kevlar, plus a treated synthetic leather palm, keep your hands safe from flames, arc flashes, heat, and even cuts. In fact, they meet personal protection equipment (PPE) Category 3 and NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. They also meet the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard for cut and puncture resistance.

Impact-Resistant Work Gloves

Shield the tops of your hands from bumps and bruises in tight spaces around heavy equipment. These gloves are often worn when handling heavy materials or machinery. All meet ANSI/ISEA 138, which rates impact resistance based on how much force they absorb. The higher the rating, the greater the protection. They also meet ANSI/ISEA 105 and EN 388 standards for various forms of protection, such as cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
Gloves with a nitrile coating resist chemicals and oil. Gloves with a polyurethane coating are thin and lightweight. Wear them for assembly work, small parts handling, and other jobs where you need a sensitive, precise touch.
Cotton/polyester gloves have woven palms with a corded texture, which help absorb oils and liquids. They provide a strong grip when working in wet or oily environments. Leather gloves are flexible and form-fitting. Synthetic leather gloves have more wear resistance than leather gloves.
Textured gloves give you a secure grip on slippery objects. Smooth gloves have a tacky grip that’s ideal for holding dry objects. They allow for more precise handling than textured gloves.
Gloves with a reinforced thumb have additional material between the thumb and pointer finger to extend the life of the glove.

High-Dexterity Cut-Protection Gloves

An ultra-thin 21-gauge knit makes these the thinnest cut-protection gloves we offer. Wear them for assembly work and other jobs where you need a precise touch. These gloves meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
All of these gloves have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. A4 is the common required minimum in industrial settings. The higher the rating, the more protection they provide. Gloves with an ANSI A4 cut rating can be used with sharp-edged materials such as sheet metal and glass. Use A5 and A6 gloves with cutting blades, knives, and sharp wire. A7 gloves work well with sharp metal stamps and presses as well as food-processing knives. A9 gloves are ideal when handling needles, spikes, and bulky objects with sharp edges.
Textured gloves give you a strong grip in wet or oily environments. Smooth gloves have a tacky grip for handling dry objects. Because they’re smooth, they allow for more precise handling than textured gloves.
Polyurethane coatings are thin and lightweight. Nitrile coatings are more durable than polyurethane and resist chemicals and oil.
Gloves with a reinforced thumb have extra material in the area between the thumb and pointer finger, which extends the life of the glove.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards, similar to ANSI/ISEA 105, for resistance to abrasive surfaces, tears, cuts, and punctures.
Gloves that are FDA compliant can be used in direct contact with food.

Open-Finger Cut-Protection Gloves

Keep your fingertips bare to handle objects while still protecting the rest of your hand from cuts. These gloves have an ANSI cut rating of A9, the highest possible rating based on the amount of force needed to cut through them with a razor blade. And while they’re highly protective, they won’t restrict your movement—their 21-gauge knit makes them the thinnest cut-protection gloves available. As a result, they’re often used in precision tasks such as wiring and fine parts assembly.
In addition to cut resistance, these are rated to ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for protection from abrasion and punctures. A nitrile coating makes them resistant to chemicals and oil.

Touch-Screen Cut-Protection Gloves

Protect your hands from sheet metal, glass, and other sharp objects while using touch screens in automated warehouse picking, robot teaching, or answering your phone. All gloves meet the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, which designates levels of cut resistance based on the force needed to cut through the material of the glove using a razor blade.
Made from a nylon/spandex/stainless steel fabric blend, these gloves are lightweight with excellent flexibility. A polyurethane coating on the palm adds wear and abrasion resistance without affecting your ability to handle delicate tasks. The back is uncoated, making them comfortable and breathable when wearing them for a long time. A knit cuff prevents them from slipping off your hands.

Electrical-Protection Gloves

ASTM D120 rated for use when handling live electrical equipment, these gloves come tested and marked with the test date. You have one year from the test date to put gloves into service before they must be retested. Once in use, gloves should be tested every six months. All gloves meet NFPA 70E for protection against arc-flash hazards.
ASTM defines voltage classes for rubber insulating gloves. Before working with electrical equipment, make sure you have the right protection.
Wear-indicating gloves have a colored inner layer that shows through the coating as it wears off, making it easy to inspect them for signs of wear such as cracks and pinholes.
Protectors (sold separately) must be worn over gloves for ASTM compliance when working with live electrical equipment. Protectors should be the same size as the gloves they will be worn over. Goatskin protectors cannot be sold to Canada due to import regulations.
Strap your glove to an inspection pump (sold separately) and inflate to check Class 1-4 gloves for cracks, pinholes, and other signs of wear. Purchase an adapter (sold separately) to use the inspection pump with Class 0 and 00 gloves.
