Coated Work Gloves

The coating on these gloves provides extra protection without limiting dexterity. It also provides a secure grip.
Cotton and cotton/polyester blend gloves are breathable and can be comfortably worn for long periods of time. Fully coated gloves provide the same protection for the front and back of the hand. PVC-coated gloves are the economical choice for protection from oil and abrasive materials. They also provide light chemical and acid resistance.
Use gloves with knit cuffs for a secure fit. Gloves with open cuffs are more convenient to put on and take off than other gloves.
Impact-Resistant Work Gloves

Shield the tops of your hands from bumps and bruises in tight spaces around heavy equipment. These gloves are often worn when handling heavy materials or machinery. All meet ANSI/ISEA 138, which rates impact resistance based on how much force they absorb. The higher the rating, the greater the protection. They also meet ANSI/ISEA 105 and EN 388 standards for various forms of protection, such as cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
Synthetic leather gloves have more wear resistance than leather gloves.
Textured gloves give you a secure grip on slippery objects. Gloves with a reinforced thumb have additional material between the thumb and pointer finger to extend the life of the glove.

Designed for jobs where you need to stay nimble. These form-fitting gloves resist abrasion and conform to your hand to reduce fatigue.
Synthetic gloves resist wear better than leather gloves.
Gloves with a Teflon® palm coating are treated to withstand oil and water. Gloves that meet ANSI/ISEA 105 are rated for protection from abrasion, punctures, and tears.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards, similar to ANSI/ISEA 105, for resistance to abrasive surfaces, tears, cuts, and punctures.

Drain-Cleaning Gloves

Protect your hands from cuts and friction burns while using electric drain cleaners. These gloves resist water and oil and have a textured grip, so you can handle cable without it slipping. They’re also known as ugly gloves.
PVC and nylon gloves have PVC chips on the front for added grip. The chips create enough friction to help you grasp wet cables but are smooth enough to let you feed them easily. These gloves also have a PVC nitrile blend coating that resists liquids. They’re more flexible than leather gloves. Nylon gloves meet ANSI/ISEA 105 and EN 388 standards for cut, abrasion, tear, and puncture resistance.

Coated Cut-Protection Gloves

The coating on these gloves provides extra protection and wear resistance. All meet the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, which designates levels of cut resistance based on the force needed to cut through the material of the glove using a razor blade.
Dyneema gloves are thinner, more breathable, and more form fitting than Kevlar gloves. Fully coated gloves provide the same protection for the front and back of the hand. PVC-coated gloves provide a good grip in dry as well as wet and oily conditions.
Style D have a longer cuff for additional forearm protection. An open cuff style makes them convenient to put on and take off. For additional grip, they are textured.
Insulated Cut-Protection Gloves

Lined to keep hands warm and coated to prevent cuts, these gloves are often worn for work with sharp tools in cold environments. They meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for cut, abrasion, puncture, and impact resistance.
All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. A4 is the common required minimum in industrial settings. The higher the rating, the more protection they provide. Choose A5 or A6 when using cutting blades, knives, and sharp wire. Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for resistance to abrasive surfaces, tears, cuts, and punctures—similar to ANSI/ISEA 105.

Protect hands from sharp edges, icy surfaces, and freezing weather. These gloves remain flexible in low temperatures and have a thermal liner. They meet ANSI/ISEA 105, a standard that rates gloves on various forms of protection. They have a cut rating of A4, which means that they can be used with sheet metal and glass. These gloves have also been tested according to EN 388 standards for resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears, punctures, and impacts. They meet EN 511 standards for cold protection.

Water-Resistant Extreme Cold-Protection Gloves

Wear these gloves to keep your hands dry and warm at temperatures as low as -320° F. Also known as cryogenic gloves, they have a multi-layered nylon construction for thermal insulation at extremely low temperatures and a seamless water-resistant liner to protect from spills and splashes. They’re often used to handle samples stored in dry ice and to dispense liquid nitrogen. However, they’re not meant to be completely submerged in liquid nitrogen. A breathable inner lining wicks moisture away from your skin for dry, comfortable wear over long periods. The coated palm makes it easier to grip small objects, transfer samples, and open jars. These gloves meet European safety and performance standards for protective gloves.
Gloves with a knit cuff fit snugly and securely around your wrist.
Gloves with an open cuff are easier to slide on and off than gloves with knit cuffs.
