High-Dexterity Cut-Protection Gloves
Gloves that feel light but work hard. Our thinnest cut-protection gloves give you the dexterity and control of lightweight gloves with the cut resistance of heavier ones. They're trusted daily by the McMaster-Carr warehouse team. These gloves are rated to ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
Choose a cut rating: The ANSI cut rating measures how much force is needed to cut through the glove with a standardized blade; higher ratings mean more protection.
• A7: For sharp metal stamps and food-processing knives where heavier protection justifies reduced dexterity.
Choose a coating: • Nitrile: More abrasion-resistant and stands up to oils and many chemicals. Choose this for heavier-duty tasks or wet/oily environments.
• Textured coatings: Improved grip on wet, oily, or slick materials.

Impact- and Cut-Protection Gloves
Handle sharp objects in cramped spaces where your hands might bump into heavy machinery. These gloves have bumpers on the back to protect against impacts. Made with polyethylene, they’ll also shield you from cuts and punctures. They’re textured for a secure grip, even when working with slippery objects.
All have an ANSI/ISEA 105 cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. A5 and A6 gloves protect against cutting blades, knives, and sharp wire. Wear A7 gloves when working with food processing knives or sharp metal stamps and presses. A9 gloves are ideal for handling needles, spikes, and bulky objects with sharp edges.
They’re also rated ANSI/ISEA 138 for how much impact they can absorb on a scale of 1 to 3. Higher ratings signify better protection for knuckles and fingers from impact injuries.
Nitrile-coated gloves resist chemicals and oil. A reinforced thumb adds extra material to the area between your thumb and pointer finger for durability.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards, similar to ANSI/ISEA 105, for resistance to abrasive surfaces, tears, cuts, punctures, and impacts.
