530 Glue | McMaster-Carr

Even on oily surfaces, these retaining compounds keep their hold. Use them to fill gaps up to 0.015" to secure worn cylindrical metal parts such as shafts, bearings, and press-fit assemblies. These retaining compounds begin to harden once coated surfaces are pressed together, blocking exposure to air.

Primer (sold separately) cleans the surface and decreases the time to reach full strength. It is recommended when working with aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium; black-oxide finishes, and cadmium and zinc coatings.

Low Locking Strength—Compounds with low locking strength prevent threads from loosening due to vibration and can be adjusted without tools.
