Wear-Resistant 4150 Alloy Steel Rods

Higher levels of carbon and chromium make this 4150 alloy steel more wear-resistant than 4820 alloy steel. Also known as chrome-moly steel, it’s often used for gears, shafts, and ball screws. For added wear resistance, it can be surface hardened with heat treating.
