    Acme Lead Screws and Nuts

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Contains Inset. Lead Screws and Nuts. Acme Lead Screws and Nuts.
Found in hand-powered clamps, vises, grates, doors, and work tables, lead screws and nuts have broad, square threads that are well suited for quick assembly, high clamping forces, and lifting and lowering heavy objects. To ensure compatibility, please select components that have the same thread direction, thread size, and number of thread starts.
    Hex-Head Screws—Right-Hand Thread
Image of Product. Front orientation. Lead Screws and Nuts. Acme Lead Screws and Nuts, Hex-Head Screws—Right-Hand Thread.
Hex head screws fasten heavy loads. They’re generally shorter than lead screws and can be tightened with a wrench. Length is measured from under the head.
Carbon Steel—Carbon steel components are easier to machine than alloy steel components.
Travel Distance per Turn—Travel distance per turn, also known as screw lead, is the distance a nut or handle moves with one revolution of the lead screw.

Metric Precision Lead Screws and Nuts

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Contains Inset. Precision Lead Screws and Nuts. Metric Precision Lead Screws and Nuts.
Pair with a motor in automated motion and positioning applications. A tight thread fit allows these lead screws and nuts to make accurate, repeatable starts and stops. Also known as single-start and self-locking lead screws and nuts, they have a single thread that runs the length of the screw. The nut travels only when the screw turns, so your system won’t unexpectedly move when the lead screw is at rest. To ensure compatibility, select components that have the same thread direction, size, and number of thread starts.

Make quick adjustments to these rod ends by inserting and releasing the clevis pins without the need to bend them into place. Also called yoke-end linkages, they support pivoting movement along one axis when threaded onto shafts, rods, valve pistons, and other assemblies. All are zinc-plated steel for moderate corrosion resistance.

    Partially Threaded Rod End Bolts

Create pivoting connections in applications that require high shear strength—the partially threaded shank of these rod end bolts withstands more side force than a fully threaded shank. Also known as swing bolts and eyebolts, they are used to create hinges, turnbuckles, and tie downs. Unlike ball joint rod ends, these rod end bolts are made from a single piece of metal, so they wear down more slowly and have a more controlled swing. However, because they do not have a moving ball joint, they do not compensate for angular misalignment. Made from steel, they are stronger and more wear resistant than stainless steel rod end bolts, but they are not as corrosion resistant.
Black-Oxide Carbon Steel—Rod end bolts with a black-oxide finish have a dark, matte coating that keeps the steel from rusting in dry environments.
DIN 444—Rod end bolts that meet DIN 444 adhere to international dimensional standards, ensuring they are compatible with other parts and tools.

Broad, strong Acme threads make these screw jacks better than ball screw jacks for heavy loads, intermittent positioning applications, and where vibration is present. Screw jacks come assembled, threaded, and ready for hookup. Connect a motor or hand-crank shaft to the screw jack shaft to lift, hold, position, and level loads.
Travel Distance per Turn—Travel distance per turn, also known as screw lead, is the distance a load moves with one revolution of the shaft.
