Tooling Balls

The shoulder on these tooling balls provides a consistent height reference point. Use the ball as a point from which any other point can be precisely measured, such as when determining hole centerlines and distances between hole centerlines.
Slip-fit tooling balls have a slightly undersized shank for temporary mounting. Secure from the side with a set screw (not included).
Tooling balls with a threaded hole secure from the bottom by threading a cap screw (not included) into the shank.
Two-piece tooling balls are welded to the shank. If excessive horizontal pressure is applied to the ball it will break off to prevent bending the shank or distorting the tight tolerances of the ball.
