    Grid Fixture Plates

Use these plates as a foundation for your fixturing setups. Precision ground to tight tolerances, they have holes in a grid pattern for accurate, repeatable positioning.

Fixture plates are thinner and lighter in weight than subplates, so they're often used to build setups that are swapped in and out of machines.
A36 Low-Carbon Steel—A36 low-carbon steel plates are stronger than 7050 aluminum plates, and their threaded holes are tapped directly into the plate. Some also have unthreaded holes, which are jig-bored and lined with a precision bushing to help reduce wear and ensure accurate placement.
For Threaded Holes and For Unthreaded Holes—Add chip plugs (sold separately) to keep chips and shavings from clogging or damaging unused holes.

    Square Subplates
Image of Attribute. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Grid Fixture Plates. Grid Fixture Plates, Square.
Subplates are thicker and heavier than fixture plates, so they’re often used as permanent assemblies in horizontal milling machines. You can use them as a base for fixture plates or build setups directly onto them. Made from A36 low-carbon steel, also known as mild steel, they resist flexing under heavy loads and hold up to repeated wear. The holes are lined with a precision bushing and a threaded insert to help locate fasteners, so you can clamp parts accurately and securely. Both are hardened to resist wear, but you can also replace them. Subplates also come with a plastic chip plug in each hole to block debris when they're not in use.
