    Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs

    Press these discs onto sanding tools or backup pads for a hold that won’t slip. To ensure the best bond, clean the pad with a mild alcohol—avoid harsh solvents such as MEK and acetone that can damage the adhesive. Also known as PSA discs.
    Cloth Abrasive Backing—Resist tearing and hold up to wet sanding better than paper-backed discs.
    Paper Abrasive Backing—Good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through lots of discs.
    Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—The most versatile and affordable abrasive we offer. Aluminum oxide is the go-to choice for general purpose sanding.
    Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Super sharp to cut quickly under light pressure. Silicon carbide is hard but brittle, so it tends to wear out sooner than other abrasives.
    Zirconia Alumina Abrasive—A step up from aluminum oxide. Zirconia alumina's tough grains remove material faster and last longer but require heavy pressure to cut properly.
    Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

    Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

    The abrasive on these discs is sharp and durable enough to cut hard metals without dulling quickly. Press discs onto sanding tools or backup pads for a hold that won’t slip. To ensure the best bond, clean the pad with a mild alcohol—avoid harsh solvents such as MEK and acetone that can damage the adhesive. Also known as PSA discs.
    Plastic Abrasive Backing—Tear resistant and the best choice for wet sanding.
    Cloth Abrasive Backing—Resist tearing and hold up to wet sanding better than paper-backed discs.
    Paper Abrasive Backing—Good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through lots of discs.
    Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—The most versatile and affordable abrasive we offer. Aluminum oxide is the go-to choice for general purpose sanding.
    Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Super sharp to cut quickly under light pressure. Silicon carbide is hard but brittle, so it tends to wear out sooner than other abrasives.
    Ceramic Alumina Abrasive—The sharp edges cut quickly for efficient material removal.
    Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

    Remove material quickly without sacrificing a consistent finish. These discs have precision-shaped abrasive that cuts through hard metals and reduces heat to prevent wear. The grains continually fracture to expose fresh cutting edges while keeping their engineered points and angle. Also known as non-woven or surface-conditioning discs, their nylon mesh backing resists clogging and compensates for uneven sanding pressure. They’re good for everything from heavy rust removal and deburring to blending and paint prep. The hook-and-loop backing lets you switch grits without waste, unlike adhesive-backed discs.
