Floating Flashlights
Because these flashlights are buoyant, they're easy to recover when dropped in the water. All have a long-lasting, built-in LED that is more efficient and generates less heat than other light technologies. These flashlights cast a spot beam that has a bright center for long-distance illumination. They are rated IP04 to withstand liquid from all directions. These flashlights meet ANSI/Plato FL 1, so they've been tested for impact resistance, run time, and beam distance.

Wet-Location Flashlights

All of these flashlights stand up to wet environments. They have a slip-resistant grip to ensure a secure hold.
IP08 flashlights withstand continuous submersion according to the manufacturer's specific conditions; all at least meet IP07 standards for submersion in a maximum of one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
LED flashlights last longer, are more efficient, and generate less heat than krypton flashlights.
Spot beam flashlights have a bright center for long-distance illumination.Styles A-E were tested and rated to ANSI/NEMA FL 1 standards.
Style E are also known as dive lights.

Hazardous Location Pivoting-Head Flashlights
Tilt the head on these flashlights to point light where you need it in explosion-prone areas. Rated NEC Classes I and II, they’re safe to use where there are ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, vapors, liquids, and dust. Rated IP67, they seal out humidity and dripping, splashing, and falling liquids. They’re also dust-tight and will still work if temporarily submerged in water. These floodlights are tested against ANSI/PLATO FL 1 standards to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, battery life, and impact resistance. For instance, they’ve been confirmed to still work if dropped from 6 feet.
Style A and B light up your footsteps with a second LED beneath the head that aims a flood beam downward. This LED can double as a task light—just tilt the head up to 90° and stand these flashlights on their end.
Style C are our brightest and most versatile option. For use as a task light, set them on their flat bottom or back. You can also hang them up on their hooks. Carry them around hands-free with the included strap. Those with a magnetic mount can be mounted to a wall or beam. The head still pivots 180° to adjust the direction of the light when they’re mounted with the magnet.
Flashlights with a spot beam have a bright center for long-distance illumination. Flashlights with a flood beam cast a uniform spread of light that’s good for close-up tasks and inspection work.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate where manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in hazardous environments. Before selecting a product for a hazardous location, ensure it is rated for your environment.

Lanterns

Provide 360° of lighting with these lanterns. They have a daylight appearance that highlights white/blue tones, which is good for inspecting.
Style C have a handle that folds down for compact storage.
IP07-rated lanterns withstand temporary submersion, so they’ll still work if you drop them in water.

Disposable Batteries

and CRV3
with Flat Top
These batteries hold more power than rechargeable batteries but must be replaced more frequently. When choosing a battery, use the capacity, measured in milliampere-hours, to compare among similar sizes. The higher the mA-hr. rating, the longer the battery should last.
Use alkaline and zinc carbon batteries in low-drain devices such as clocks and radios.
Lithium batteries are lightweight and long lasting. They work well in high-drain devices such as digital cameras.
