Medium-Strength Grade 5 Steel Hex Head Screws with Nuts and Washers
Twice as strong as low-strength steel screws, these Grade 5 screws are suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment. They come with matching nuts and washers so you can make a complete joint. All are zinc plated to prevent corrosion in wet environments. Washers distribute the pressure from a tightened nut over the surface of your material, which helps prevent damage. Screws and nuts meet SAE specifications for material quality and ASME specifications for dimensions. For quick identification, the screw heads are marked with three radial lines. Length is measured from under the head.

Grade 5 and Class 8.8 steel fasteners are suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment. They’re plated with either zinc or zinc yellow chromate to resist corrosion in wet environments.
Grade 8 and Class 10.9 steel fasteners can be used in high-stress applications, such as on valves, pumps, and motors. They’re about 25% stronger than Grade 5 and Class 8.8 steel fasteners, but they'll corrode in wet environments.
