The most widely used cabinet hinges are commonly found in workstations, breakrooms, and storage areas. Mount the door leaf in a round cutout (mortise) and the frame leaf to the cabinet wall. You can adjust them three ways to perfectly align doors. Also known as cup hinges and European hinges.
Hold Closed—Spring tension pulls the door closed when it’s open less than 10°, and then keeps it closed without a catch or latch.
Soft Close—No slamming doors or lids with these hinges. They have a damper that slowly pulls them closed.
Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause these hinges to rust.
Nickel-Plated Steel—These hinges combine rust resistance with an attractive appearance.
304 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these hinges resist rust. However, they won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel hinges can.
For Overlay Door—For doors that cover their frame entirely.
For Half-Overlay Door—For doors that cover half of their frame.
For Inset Door—For doors that are flush with their frame when closed.
