Choose the right hinge based on mounting style, clearance, leaf thickness, knuckle length, and other important dimensions.

    Edge-Mount Full-Length Entry Door Hinges

One leaf wraps around the door edge to reinforce and protect it from damage while the other mounts to the frame. These hinges support the entire length of doors for better alignment and smoother movement than other entry door hinges. Bearings inside the hinge reduce friction for long life.

    Style 3

Straighten out warped or sagging doors with the turn of a screw. The pin in these hinges has a threaded end for height adjustments. Tighten the set screw to keep it in position. Hinges mount to the surface of doors and frames.
Nonremovable Pin—The tamper-resistant choice. Since the pin can’t be removed, the door can only be taken down by removing the hinge completely.
316 Stainless Steel—Our most corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinges won't degrade when exposed to harsh weather, salt water, and most chemicals.

    Surface-Mount Hinges without Holes

Install these hinges your way by drilling holes or welding onto doors and frames. They offer more mounting flexibility than hinges with holes.
Removable Pin—For doors you need to remove occasionally to make adjustments or access equipment.
Nonremovable Pin—The tamper-resistant choice. Since the pin can’t be removed, the door can only be taken down by removing the hinge completely.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A common choice for areas exposed to occasional moisture.
Low-Carbon Steel—Strong and the easiest to weld but will rust in damp environments.
304 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these hinges resist rust. However, they won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel hinges can.
316 Stainless Steel—Our most corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinges won't degrade when exposed to harsh weather, salt water, and most chemicals.
Aluminum—One-third the weight of steel, these hinges are often used on enclosures, carts, and other equipment where you want to limit the load.

Tamper-Resistant Entry Door Template Hinges with Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Hinges. Tamper-Resistant Entry Door Template Hinges with Bearings.
Make unauthorized access nearly impossible. These hinges keep the leaves locked together, even if the pin is removed or broken. When the door is closed, the security stud engages so the door can't be lifted off. The pin is accessible only when the door is open. To remove it, loosen the set screw and the pull out the pin from the bottom of the hinge. For added security, hinges mount with tamper-resistant Torx screws, which require a special tool to remove. They work with or without a door closer.
Chrome-Plated Steel—A shiny finish adds corrosion resistance, though it may chip with heavy use.

Bearings inside these hinges reduce friction, making doors easy to open and close. The bearings also extend the life of the hinges, so they’re good for high-traffic entrances. Concealed Cabinet Hinges

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Hinges. Concealed Cabinet Hinges.
The most widely used cabinet hinges are commonly found in workstations, breakrooms, and storage areas. Mount the door leaf in a round cutout (mortise) and the frame leaf to the cabinet wall. You can adjust them three ways to perfectly align doors. Also known as cup hinges and European hinges.
Hold Closed—Spring tension pulls the door closed when it’s open less than 10°, and then keeps it closed without a catch or latch.
Nickel-Plated Steel—These hinges combine rust resistance with an attractive appearance.

The pin is attached to the frame leaf, so you can take off doors without removing the screws or pin from the hinge. Surface-mount hinges are the standard for most enclosure doors, panels, and lids. Since they don’t need a cutout, they’re easier to install than mortise hinges but won’t sit flush with the edge of your door.
To install hinges without mounting holes, weld into place or drill your own holes.
304 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these hinges resist rust. However, they won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel hinges can.
Door Mounting Location—To choose a door mounting location, stand on the pull side of the door. Use a right-side hinge if the hinge is on the right, or a left-side hinge if it’s on the left.

Remove entry doors to clean, make repairs, or widen the opening to get equipment through. The pin is attached to the frame leaf for lifting off doors without removing the pin or screws. These hinges have a standard half-moon hole pattern that’s identical across manufacturers, so they’ll match your door and frame. Fit the leaves into cutouts (mortises) for flush mounting.
Primed Steel—Get a head start on painting with hinges that have primer already applied.
Chrome-Plated Steel—A shiny finish adds corrosion resistance, though it may chip with heavy use.
