    The pin is attached to the frame leaf, so you can take off doors without removing the screws or pin from the hinge. Surface-mount hinges are the standard for most enclosure doors, panels, and lids. Since they don’t need a cutout, they’re easier to install than mortise hinges but won’t sit flush with the edge of your door.
    To install hinges without mounting holes, weld into place or drill your own holes.
    304 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these hinges resist rust. However, they won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel hinges can.
    Door Mounting Location—To choose a door mounting location, stand on the pull side of the door. Use a right-side hinge if the hinge is on the right, or a left-side hinge if it’s on the left.
