Press a male and female die together using a hydraulic press. When you don’t have access to a hydraulic press or your material won’t fit in a press, bolt the dies together.     Make accurate holes every time. Drill a pilot hole into your workpiece—the center of these punches fits inside the pilot hole to keep cuts aligned. Pilot holes should be slightly larger than the size of the stud. The die’s design splits the punched out plug in two for easy removal. The included driver supplies 11 tons of force to punch conduit up to size 2. These punches are also known as knockout and chassis punches.
