    Sharpening Stone Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sharpening Stones. Sharpening Stone Sets.
Keep multiple shapes of sharpening stones on hand for sharpening a range of tools and blades. Use these sharpening stones with a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant.
Novaculite—Novaculite has extremely fine grains that cut very slowly for the most control over sharpening. Also known as Arkansas stones.
Ceramic Alumina—Extremely hard and wear resistant, these stones sharpen your hardest blades. They cut hard materials slower than cubic boron nitride (CBN) and diamond for finer control.

Polishing Stone Assortments for Hard Metals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Stones. Polishing Stone Assortments for Hard Metals.
Keep stones in different grits on hand for polishing high-grade mold steels, such as P20 and H13 tool steel and 420 stainless steel. The stones in these assortments are harder than standard aluminum oxide stones. They remove material slowly, which helps you control the finish on your workpiece. Pair stones with a holder (sold separately) to polish by hand or with a power tool. To keep debris from building up, apply a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant during use.

    Polishing Stone Assortments for Steel

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Stones. Polishing Stone Assortments for Steel.
Keep stones of different grits on hand for each step of polishing steel tools, molds, and dies. The polishing stones in these assortments are the most common choice for general polishing. These stones can be used by hand or in a power tool with a holder (both sold separately). To keep debris from building up, apply a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant during use.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—Aluminum oxide stones, also known as India stones, scrape away material slowly to give you more control over how much material you take off. They are good for the final stage of polishing.
Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Silicon carbide stones, also known as Crystolon stones, are extremely sharp. These stones remove material more quickly than aluminum oxide stones. They are best for the early polishing stage when you want to clear away more material from your work surface. However, they give you less control over material removal than aluminum oxide stones, so stopping at an exact point is more difficult to do.

Polishing Stone Assortments for EDM Scale Removal

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Stones. Polishing Stone Assortments for EDM Scale Removal.
Remove hard scale from the EDM (electrical discharge machining) process with an assortment of stones that range from coarse to fine grits. These stones are harder than standard aluminum oxide polishing stones but are not so hard that they will scratch or gouge your workpiece. They abrade slowly, so you can control how much material you remove. Use these stones by hand or in power tools with a compatible holder (both sold separately). Apply a lubricant during use.

    Diamond Sharpening Stone Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sharpening Stones. Diamond Sharpening Stone Sets.
Diamond is extremely hard and long lasting, so these sharpening stones stay flat and cut quickly without the dish-out common with traditional oil or water stones. Progress through grits in one session for a consistently sharp edge on knives, chisels, and other cutting tools. No lubricants needed—use the stones dry or with water.

Polishing Stone Assortments for Soft Metals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Stones. Polishing Stone Assortments for Soft Metals.
Stock stones of different grits for every stage of polishing soft metal molds and dies. The stones in these assortments work on aluminum, brass, bronze, and copper. They are softer than standard aluminum oxide stones—they won’t scratch or gouge your workpiece. Their aluminum oxide abrasive removes material slowly to give you more control over how much you take off. Use a holder to polish by hand or with a power tool (both sold separately). To keep debris from building up, apply a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant while you work.

    Roughing Stone Assortments

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Stones. Roughing Stone Assortments.
A handy series of grits to remove high spots and even out gouges before polishing. Made with ruby abrasives, the stones in these assortments are extremely hard and have an extra coarse grit to remove material faster than standard polishing stones. Use them to flatten your surface enough to begin polishing after. Pair them with a compatible holder (sold separately) to use them by hand or in power tools. Though not required, you can add a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant to keep debris from building up.

A collection of stones for all your sharpening jobs, from repairing rough edges to adding razor-sharp finishes. A blade holder clamps around your knife to hold it steady as you sharpen. No need to eyeball the sharpening angle—hook the guide rod into the slots on the blade holder to position the stone at four angles. To quickly sharpen the other side of the blade edge, flip the holder over without unclamping the blade.
    For Sharpening Knives
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—For fine control over your finish, aluminum oxide abrades slowly. Use it on any blade material.
Ceramic Abrasive—For use after coarse sharpening, ceramic refines and polishes your blade’s edge. You can also use ceramic to touch up blades that are still somewhat sharp.
Diamond Abrasive—Our hardest abrasive. Diamond can sharpen any blade material, even hardened steel.
Lubrication—In addition to the included lubricant, you can add other water-soluble and oil-based lubricants.

    Detail Polishing Stone Assortments

Keep stones in different grits on hand to smooth ribs, slots, teeth, and other fine features. The stones in these assortments are thin enough to slip into hard-to-reach areas. Made of bonded ceramic, they’re harder and more wear resistant than aluminum oxide stones, but flexible enough not to crack under pressure. Pair these stones with a holder to polish by hand or with a power tool, such as an ultrasonic polisher. Some holders are sold separately. Apply a water-soluble or oil-based lubricant to help keep debris from building up on the surface.

Keep stones of different grits on hand to handle every stage of polishing on the smallest ribs, slots, and crevices. These stones are as thin as pencil lead, but stronger than they appear—made of bonded ceramic, they are tough yet flexible. They won’t snap like lead when you apply pressure. These stones also resist wear, so they last a long time. Pair them with a holder to polish by hand or with an ultrasonic polisher (sold separately). Polish steel from start to finish with stones in different grits. The stones in these assortments are filled with oil to keep debris from getting stuck in the pores, so you don’t have to stop and clean the surface. Made of aluminum oxide, these stones also abrade slowly to give you more control over how much material you remove. Use a holder to polish by hand or with a power tool (both sold separately). Apply an additional water-soluble or oil-based lubricant to reduce friction and heat, and to wash away debris.
