3M Scotch-Brite Nylon Mesh Cushioned Hook and Loop Sanding Pads

For a consistent finish, these pads are made with nylon mesh that flexes to compensate for uneven pressure as you sand. They are embedded with aluminum oxide abrasive, the most common abrasive, so they’re often used for cleaning, scuffing, finishing, and light paint removal. The hook and loop backing lets you attach, remove, and reuse these pads until they’re used up.

Cut them to size and use them with a compatible sanding block (sold separately). Hard-density blocks work best on flat surfaces. Use soft-density blocks on contoured surfaces.

Hook and Loop Vacuum Sanding Rolls for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

Holes allow dust removal when used with a vacuum sander to prevent buildup of debris on the abrasive surface. Cut these rolls to the size you need or tear them at the perforated lines every 2 ¾”—with dozens of small holes, they can be used with any style of vacuum sander, regardless of its hole configuration. Hook and loop lets you quickly attach, remove, and reuse this material. Ceramic alumina grit continually fractures to produce new, sharp cutting edges. It's sharp and dense enough to shape hard metals such as stainless steel, nickel, and cast iron without dulling quickly. It sands faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide but requires more force to abrade properly.

Sanding Sheets for Oscillating Tools

For Starlock Blade Mount

Use these sheets with an oscillating tool—their triangular shape reaches into tight corners and spaces. With hook and loop backing you can quickly attach, remove, and reuse them with a compatible backup pad. Sheets have holes to allow dust removal when you connect your tool to a dust extractor and vacuum system to prevent buildup of debris on the abrasive surface. They also have a slick coating to further prevent dust accumulation.

Starlock-blade-mount sheets can be used with any Starlock-compatible oscillating tool. They are aluminum oxide, the most common choice for material removal and wood finishing.

Peel and stick these sheets to your detail sander whenever it’s time for fresh grit. Covered in aluminum oxide, the most common choice for general purpose sanding, these sheets are great for use on metal and wood. A clog-resistant coating keeps dust and debris from building up and keeps everything cool, so the abrasive doesn’t break down as quickly. Their shape squeezes into tight spaces such as edges, corners, and angled surfaces.

Triangle sheets fit into 90° corners.

Pointed oval sheets fit into extra-tight corners and narrow spaces. They have curved edges for easy sanding along contours.

Hook and Loop Sanding Sheets for Hand Sanding Blocks

Quickly switch between different grits—these sanding sheets attach and detach from a compatible sanding block with hook and loop. No need to cut sanding rolls or clamp sheets to your block. Unlike adhesive-backed sheets, these sheets can be reused multiple times and won’t leave behind sticky residue. They have an aluminum oxide abrasive, the most common for general sanding. A slick coating dispels debris from the surface, so it doesn’t build up and generate heat.
