Beaded Hose Fittings for Coolant
A single rounded bead grips onto hose just like a barb, but has no sharp edges that could cut or damage soft hose. This type of connection can handle higher pressures than standard barbed fittings for coolant. Slide the beaded end into rubber hose and secure with a clamp. Also known as hose nipples, they adapt a beaded end to a threaded end. Fittings are zinc-plated steel, which is strong and durable with fair corrosion resistance.
