Build-Your-Own High-Pressure Braided Chemical Hose
- Temperature Range: -40° to 350° F
- Hose: PTFE with 304 Stainless Steel Braid
- Female Fittings Swivel Until Tightened
Use shears or a cutoff saw and wrap the hose ends with tape to cut the hose to your desired length and then attach the fittings. You don’t need any special equipment to install. After you attach the fittings, be sure to test the hose for required pressure prior to using.
To attach fittings to hose, push the socket over the stainless steel braid, then wedge the sleeve under the braid. Next, insert the nipple into the hose and hand-tighten the socket onto the nipple. Finish by wrench-tightening the hex nipple until it is flush against the socket.
Female fittings are also known as JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fittings. They swivel until tightened for easy installation. Brass fittings with zinc-plated steel nut have fair corrosion resistance; 303 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance.

Lightweight Abrasion-Resistant Hydraulic

Although only half the weight, this hose resists wear and tear 240 times better than our standard rubber hydraulic hose. The polyurethane cover makes it tough, while the nylon keeps it lightweight and flexible. This nylon hose bends twice as sharply as standard rubber hose, so it’s easier to route through tight spaces. The slipperiness of the polyurethane reduces noise when you feed this hose through pulleys on utility trucks, forklifts, and other equipment that moves. Safe for outdoor use, the polyurethane cover also protects this hose from UV and ozone damage.
The fittings come attached, so this hose is ready to connect to a male threaded fitting on one end and a female one on the other. The female fitting swivels until tightened, so you don’t need to rotate the entire hose during installation. Also known as a JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fitting, the female fitting meets SAE J514 dimensional standards. Both fittings are chrome plated to resist corrosion.
Reinforced with a braided fiber, this hose handles the pressures, temperatures, and chemicals involved in most hydraulic applications and meets SAE 100R7 and ISO 3949 standards. MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) accepted, the cover has been tested for flame resistance.

Metal Push-On Barbed Hose Fittings for Air and Water
Fittings have sharper barbs than standard barbed hose fittings to grip rubber push-on hose with no clamps or ferrules required. The more you pull on the fittings, the tighter the hose will grip.
Brass fittings are softer than other metal fittings, so they’re easier to thread together. They have good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel fittings have excellent corrosion resistance, so they’re the best choice for high-humidity environments.
Fittings that swivel until tightened rotate 360° for easy installation.
Fittings with a threaded end are also known as hose nipples.
Fittings with a flared end meet JIC or SAE standards for dimensions. Fittings with a 37° flared end are also known as JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fittings. Fittings with a female 37° and 45° flared end have a dual-angle seat that accepts both 37° and 45° flared fittings.
The optional installation tool (sold separately) allows you to connect large quantities of barbed fittings to push-on hose. Use the built-in cutter to squarely cut the hose without fraying. Next, lubricate either the push-on hose, fitting or both. Then, clamp the hose into the tool’s vise and apply light pressure on the handle to drive into the fitting.
Note: To ensure proper connection, the barbed end has to be pushed in all the way, with the hose end concealed by the ring.

Screw-On Hose Fittings for Hydraulic Fluid
With just a vise and a wrench, make or repair hose assemblies in the field. These fittings thread directly onto hydraulic hose, so you don't need to crimp. To install, separate the two pieces. Screw the hose end onto your hose first and then thread the two pieces of the fitting back together. These fittings compress against the hose to form a strong seal. Also known as reusable fittings, they can be unscrewed from your hose and used again.

Lubrication Hose Fittings
Use these two-piece fittings in grease and lubrication lines. They screw directly onto plastic hose without the need for a separate adapter. To install, separate the two pieces of the fitting (the hose-end portion and the nipple portion). Screw the hose-end portion of the fitting onto the hose, then thread the nipple portion of the fitting into the hose-end portion. When assembled, the fitting compresses against the hose, forming a strong seal. Also known as reusable fittings, they can be unscrewed from the hose end and used on a new hose. Fittings are zinc-plated steel, which is strong and durable with fair corrosion resistance.
