About Bearing Heaters
Heating bearings makes them easier to install and reduces damage to shafts during installation. Heat expands the bearing's inner race for a snug fit without forcing a tight-fitting bearing onto a shaft. Bearing heaters can also be used on gears, sprockets, pulleys, and bushings. Induction bearing heaters use magnetic induction to heat but do not magnetize parts.
Hot Plates for Glass Containers

Precisely control temperature while heating glass containers.
Aluminum hot plates maintain a uniform temperature across the entire heating surface while resisting warping and buckling at low temperatures.
Ceramic hot plates clean easily and resist acids and alkalies.
Style B has a hot surface warning light to protect against accidental burns.
Style E is ETL listed for conformance to ANSI/UL-499.
Note: Sand baths are not recommended. Metal foil and metal containers should not be used with these hot plates.

All of these magnetic stirring bars are corrosion and chemical resistant. Some are available in different colors for easy identification.
Octagonal stirring bars are the most commonly used shape. They have a large surface area to generate more turbulence than round bars, so they stir up particles for better mixing.
Rod stirring bars spin more smoothly than octagonal bars.
Polygonal stirring bars spin smoothly like round bars, but also generate turbulence for mixing particles, such as salts, into solutions. Select the large ODs for jobs in drums or tanks.
Capsule stirring bars are sized just right for small containers, such as vials, tubes, and gradient makers.
Oval stirring bars work best with round-bottom flasks.
Use the half-round stirring bars with 16 mm OD test tubes. You can trim them to meet your exact needs.
Choose the tapered half-round stirring bars when working with conical-bottom centrifuge tubes.
Triangular stirring bars are designed to fit small vials. Use the 3/16” wide bars for 1 mL vials and the 3/8” wide bars for 3-5 mL vials.

Hot-Plate Bearing Heaters

Set one or more bearings flat on the plate. This heater has a thermostat that adjusts from 120° to 390° F and lights that indicate when the plate has reached the desired temperature. It’s housed in a metal case that minimizes heat loss and keeps dirt out of your bearings. In case of overheating, the heater will shut off.

Portable Gas Burners
Take these burners anywhere they can hook up to a propane tank. They are designed for outdoor use. Burners require a low-pressure gas regulator (not included).

Heated Dollies for Drums

Keep drum contents warm and ready to roll. These dollies are often used for noncontact heating of thick, nonflammable, and nonhazardous materials such as wax. All have a time-cycle controller that constantly cycles on and off to maintain your set temperature. Turn the dial to adjust the ratio of on to off time. The controller requires a thermometer (sold separately) for calibration and temperature monitoring.
