Hydraulic Power Units

Create and supply hydraulic pressure. Choose a unit with a tank capacity about three times greater than your requirement to allow for heat dissipation. An inlet filter protects the pump from contamination.

All units include an additional NPTF threaded inlet port. NPTF (Dryseal) threads are compatible with NPT threads. UN/UNF (SAE Straight) thread connections have straight threads and are also known as O-ring Boss fittings.

Connect these pumps to a ram to create a hydraulic jack. Use hose to connect; add a pressure gauge to monitor hydraulic oil pressure levels and guard against overload.

Warning: Never use to support people or loads over people.

Style 1—To use Style 1 pumps vertically, point the pump head (where the handle meets the pump) downward.

Style 2—To use Style 2 pumps vertically, point the pump head (where the handle meets the pump) downward. These pumps are made of aluminum, making them lighter and more corrosion resistant than steel and iron pumps.

Style 3—Style 3 pumps are also known as trailer pumps and have a body that is taller than it is long to fit in a narrow space. Use as part of a permanent lifting system.

Styles 4-6—Styles 4, 5, and 6 pumps use air power to operate where electricity is not available and require minimal effort. Use the pedal with your hand or foot to activate and release your ram.

Styles 7 and 8—Styles 7 and 8 pumps operate from up to 10 ft. away using the included wired remote.

2 Speeds—Pumps with two-speeds are quick to pump until the load is engaged, then pump more slowly for precise positioning.

Air to Hydraulic Power Units

Power a hydraulic cylinder from your air system to avoid the setup, cost, and mess of hydraulic fluid. These converters give you more consistent power than using air power for an air cylinder. However, because air works at a lower pressure than hydraulic fluid, your hydraulic cylinder won’t move loads at its full force. Attach these converters to an air line with a speed controller and solenoid (not included).

Note: These converters are not for use near fire.

Hydraulic Motors

Power equipment with hydraulic motors when electric motors can't be used for safety reasons and air-powered motors aren't powerful enough. These produce rotary power at about the same speed as air-powered motors, but with much greater torque. UN/UNF (SAE Straight) thread connections have straight threads and are also known as O-ring Boss fittings.
