    Flow-Through Heating Elements for Air

Image of Product. Front orientation. Heating Elements. Flow-Through Heating Elements for Air.
Tackle high-temperature drying, shrink-wrapping, and plastic welding jobs with your everyday compressed air supply. These heating elements connect to your air source on one end and to your process on the other. Control the output temperature by adjusting the incoming airflow or power sent to the heating element. The outlet can point upwards, straight, or as much as 10° downwards. Be cautious when positioning it—pointing it further downwards may damage the heating element.
To calculate the wattage needed for your application, multiply your incoming airflow in CFM by the number of degrees you need to increase air temperature, then divide by three.

Also known as circulation heating elements, these install directly into pipelines to quickly and efficiently heat liquid through direct contact. All are designed to heat chemical solutions at much higher watt densities than other immersion heating elements without damaging the heating element. An adjustable thermostat automatically turns the heating element on when the temperature drops below the set temperature and off when it rises above the set temperature. Adjust the set temperature with the dial. Heating elements automatically shut off at 202° F to prevent fire and heating element burnout. The heating element is titanium for excellent resistance to harsh chemicals.

Also known as circulation heating elements, these install directly into pipelines to quickly and efficiently heat liquid through direct contact. To heat coolant without creating hot spots and damaging the heating element, they have a lower watt density than heating elements for water or chemicals. An adjustable thermostat automatically turns the heating element on when the temperature drops below the set temperature and off when it rises above the set temperature. Adjust the set temperature with the dial.

These tubular heating elements minimize the risk of sparks and fire from combustible particles in the flow stream, making them a safer choice than open coil heating elements. Finned for increased surface area, they quickly dissipate heat in air and inert gas heating systems such as duct heating elements and convection ovens. Their sheath, fins, and fittings are made of stainless steel, which resists heat and corrosion better than steel. These heating elements require a temperature switch or control (sold separately) to regulate output.
Welded on One End—Heating elements with end fittings welded on one end have one fitting permanently welded for a secure connection, while the other fitting is loose to create room for tube expansion during heating. The extra space helps prevent damage.

    Point-of-Use Water Heaters

Also called tankless water heaters, these provide hot water on demand and take up less space than heaters with a tank. They are easier to install than gas tank heaters and don’t require a relief valve. All turn on when water flows through the heater and turn off when the flow stops.
