    Thermal Interface Foil

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thermal Interface Material. Thermal Interface Foil.
Made of indium, this foil is more thermally conductive than thermal interface materials (TIMs) made of plastic. By efficiently pulling heat away from components that produce heat, such as CPUs, this foil lets you use smaller forced cooling systems to extend battery life. It’s also softer and more ductile than paste and putty, covering surfaces better to minimize airflow gaps and increase heat flow. Unlike paste and grease, this foil won’t leach out from between surfaces over time, nor will it dry out and lose effectiveness. It’s clean, easy to install and reposition, and requires no surface preparation. Foil is corrosion resistant and doesn’t need special storage.
48% Tin—Foil with 48% tin has greater tensile and shear strength than foil without tin, but is less thermally conductive.

Lubricate, clean, deoxidize, and prevent corrosion on electrical contacts to improve their performance.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range.
2 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Deoxidizer Additive—Grease with only deoxidizer provides the best lubrication and is for use on clean surfaces.
Aluminum Additive—Grease with aluminum is for use on aluminum parts that won’t come in contact with each other.
Copper Additive—Grease with copper has copper particles to assist oxidize breakup and resist abrasion on surfaces that require conductivity.
Graphite Additive—Grease with graphite has graphite particles to absorb and dissipate heat.
Quartz Additive—Grease with quartz has quartz particles to assist oxide breakup.
Melting Temperature—Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.
Dielectric Strength—Dielectric strength measures the maximum voltage a grease can withstand without losing its insulating properties. The higher the dielectric strength, the better its quality as an insulator.

Use this grease in areas where there is the possibility of contact with food. Also known as dielectric grease, it lubricates and protects electrical systems. It resists water and corrosion. This grease can be used on most rubber and plastic.
Grease lubricates most efficiently below the maximum temperature.
Nonmelting Grease—Nonmelting grease can be used at temperatures above the maximum temperature briefly, but then will break down more quickly.
1 NLGI Grade—NLGI 1 is about the consistency of tomato paste.
2 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
ASTM E595—Grease that meets ASTM E595, a standard used by NASA, will produce almost no volatile emissions, even in a high vacuum. It's a good choice for use around sensitive electronics.
FDA Compliant 21 CFR 175.300—Grease that meets FDA Compliant 21 CFR 175.300 is rated for direct contact with food.
FDA Compliant 21 CFR 178.3570—Grease that meets FDA Compliant 21 CFR 178.3570 is rated for incidental contact with food.
NSF Registered H1—Grease that is NSF Registered H1 is rated for incidental contact with food.
NSF/ANSI 51—Grease that meets NSF/ANSI 51 is rated for direct contact with food.
NSF/ANSI 61—Grease that meets NSF/ANSI 61 is certified for use with components that come into contact with drinking water.
Dielectric Strength—Dielectric strength measures the maximum voltage a grease can withstand without losing its insulating properties. The higher the dielectric strength, the better its quality as an insulator.
