Install a rivet nut with only a screw—no special installation tool required. Also known as jack nuts, these rivet nuts have large slits in the body that collapse and flare out to create a flange on the back of your material as you thread in a screw. That backside flange distributes force, so these rivet nuts won't pull through thin material. Use them to add reusable threads to sheet metal and other material that can't be tapped. Unlike press-fit nuts, you only need access to one side to install. They're zinc-plated, so they resist corrosion in wet environments. Length is measured from under the flange.

A PVC coating minimizes scratches to the surface of your material and makes these rivet nuts more corrosion resistant than zinc-plated steel nuts. Install these nuts in sheet metal with only a screw, no special tools required.
