Welding Jackets

Protect your arms and torso when welding.
Cotton and cellulose/aramid protects your arms from arc flashes and cuts, while the cotton torso defends against low radiant heat and sparks. The sleeves are rated ANSI Level 1 for light protection against cuts and punctures. They also meet personal protection equipment (PPE) Category 2 and NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these jackets.

Green jackets have a silver stripe that reflects light, so you stand out better in poorly lit places than with orange jackets. Made of 12 oz. cotton—similar in thickness to a canvas tarp—these jackets can withstand more wear than orange jackets. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
