Aluminum enclosures are a lightweight yet durable alternative to stainless steel. These withstand corrosive, wet, and oily environments. They are rated NEMA 4X and 13 for protection from dirt, washdowns, corrosion, and oil/coolant spraying.
Enclosures with a slotted latch open with a quarter turn for easy access—there are no clamps or screws to unfasten.

Heavy Duty Aluminum Corrosion-Resistant Washdown Enclosures
Washdown Enclosure
These enclosures have thicker walls than standard aluminum enclosures, but they are still a lightweight yet durable alternative to stainless steel. They’ll stand up to washdowns, corrosion, dust, oil, and the weather.
Mount components on optional panels inside enclosures without drilling holes. Drilling holes in enclosures could cause leaks and compromise the NEMA and IP ratings.

Lighter than stainless steel yet durable, these aluminum enclosures protect electronics from frequent washdowns and withstand periodic submersion in water. They won’t rust in outdoor environments and are easy to machine.

Attach these enclosures to machine panels and walls by their mounting feet—no need to open the cover and expose sensors, switches, and other electronics in wet locations. Made of aluminum, they’re lighter in weight than stainless steel yet resist rusting from water. They’re also easy to cut and drill for mounting components. All are NEMA and IP rated to protect what’s inside from submersion, spraying water, and rain, as well as dust, oil, and coolant.

Aluminum Weather-Resistant Enclosures
Made of aluminum, these enclosures resist corrosion from rain, sleet, and snow. While not as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, aluminum is lighter for better mobility, and also easier to machine for custom mounting. With an overhanging top for coverage from above, these enclosures are rated NEMA 3R for protection from dirt, falling liquids, and light splashing. A bonding stud on the door maintains electric potential for connected equipment and also prevents static sparking that could damage components. To draw away static and protect from fire and shocks caused by short circuiting, connect these enclosures to a grounding path with the included grounding stud.

EMI/RFI Shielded Enclosures
These enclosures reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), which can cause electrical problems like flickering monitors, interrupted data signals, and unwanted radio noise. Use them near motors, generators, and other equipment that produces EMI or RFI. Enclosures protect the parts inside and also keep EMI/RFI generated within the enclosure from getting out.
To install parts inside the enclosure, screw a DIN rail or panel on to the internal mounting bosses, or mount components directly to the bosses using self-tapping screws. Use the outside mounting holes to attach the enclosure to a wall or surface. For more mounting flexibility, screw on wall-mount brackets where you need them.
Aluminum enclosures stop medium-range frequency interference in most applications. They have two gaskets—a woven steel gasket joins the two sides of the enclosure for continuous EMI/RFI shielding, and a silicone rubber gasket seals the enclosure to protect your equipment from wet, oily, and corrosive environments. Enclosures that meet IP65 protect the contents from washdowns, dust, and dirt. Enclosures that meet IP67 are submersible in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes and protect the contents from dust and dirt.
Interference reduction at frequency, also known as attenuation, is how much EMI/RFI the enclosure blocks.

Enclosure-Mounted Terminal Blocks
Save time when wiring connections in a junction box. These blocks come already installed in an enclosure. All enclosures are IP and NEMA rated to seal out dust and protect against corrosion. They meet UL 94 flammability standards.
Aluminum enclosures are more durable than plastic ones, so they’re good for harsh environments where debris would damage plastic enclosures.
IP67 rated enclosures withstand temporary submersion. NEMA 12 rated enclosures withstand lightly splashing water, oil, and coolant.
