The softer balsa lapping sticks are good for delicate, final finishing—they’re gentle on the surface of your workpiece. Basswood lapping sticks are good for intermediate to final finishing and are more durable than wood.

    Balsa—Balsa lapping sticks are good for delicate, final finishing. Our softest option, they’re gentle on the surface of your workpiece. However, they wear down more quickly than basswood and beech sticks.
