Aligning Lasers
Project a bright, vivid reference point to hang light fixtures, align workbenches, or even guide your machine vision camera. These lasers are small enough to fit on virtually any machine.
Dot lasers work well for indicating a drill point and positioning workpieces on lathes, presses, and CNC machines. Those with multiple dot sizes are suitable for both long-range positioning and close-up precision tasks. Larger dot sizes are often used to install pipe over long distances. Twist the head to adjust the dot size.
Line lasers work well for marking cut lines for saws, aligning rollers on conveyor belts, and checking that the edge on a machined part is straight. They project a line that is even and bright the entire length.
Cross-hair lasers project a central reference point, as well as vertical and horizontal lines, so you don't have to reposition the laser when aligning in multiple directions. They are commonly used to position shafts, bearings, and couplings.
Red lasers are best viewed indoors and at short distances. Green lasers are ten times brighter than red lasers. They’re easy to view, even in brightly lit rooms, outdoor locations, and over long distances.
DC lasers can be hardwired to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and timer relays, so you can automate when they turn on and off. For lasers with a barrel connector, you must cut off the connector to hardwire them. To power 5V and 8V DC lasers from an outlet, fit the barrel connector into an adapter (sold separately). 5V lasers can also be used with a power distribution block (sold separately), which lets you power up to seven lasers from an outlet using a single adapter.
Clamp mounts (sold separately) fit pipe, tube, and conduit that is approximately 1” in diameter. They swivel from side to side, so you can fine-tune the position of the laser once it's mounted. Magnetic mounts (sold separately) attach to steel surfaces, so you don't have to drill holes in your machinery. They’ll hold the laser at a fixed angle. Adjustable-angle mounts (sold separately for some items) rotate in any direction, so you can swivel the laser to the correct angle for your job without having to reposition the entire mount. Rotary mounts (sold separately) help you check whether shafts, spindles, and other rotating parts are perfectly aligned with equipment. Mount them to the face of your rotating part so your laser shines directly at an opposite surface. If the laser moves in a circle instead of staying still, your rotating part is off-center. Attach the mount to your equipment using the magnetic base or mounting holes. You can also use the included stud to insert these mounts into a chuck.

High-Temperature Aligning Lasers

These lasers project a bright, accurate reference point while resisting heat from furnaces, kilns, and other machinery that runs hot. Use them for everything from aligning bores, rods, and other components in engines to marking workpieces for spot welds. The glass lens won’t warp or melt like a plastic one might, so the dot stays precise and clear.
Lasers project a red light that is best viewed indoors. They aren't adjustable, so the dot will get bigger as you move the laser further away. These lasers have a plug that fits into an included AC adapter, but they can also be hardwired by cutting off the plug. Hardwire them to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and timer relays to automate when they turn on and off.
Adjustable-angle mounts rotate 80° in any direction, so you can swivel the laser to your desired angle without having to reposition the entire mount.

Compact Machine-Mount Aligning Lasers
Even with their built-in mount, these lasers only take up as much space as two dice. Use them to project a bright, vivid reference point to align tools or guide machine vision cameras and robots. Since you can adjust their dot size, these lasers work well for both long-range positioning and close-up precision tasks. Larger dot sizes are often used to install pipe over long distances. The dot is red, so it’s best viewed indoors.

Pocket-Sized Pulley Aligning Lasers

Slip this laser into your pocket so it's on hand to align belts, pulleys, chain, and sprockets. Place the tool against the side of your pulley or sprocket and project the laser onto the included target to detect angular or offset misalignment. They mount magnetically, so you don’t need any fasteners to secure them. The surface of the laser is machined, so it sits flush against flat surfaces for easy and precise alignment. They’re powered by a disposable battery, so they’re portable.
Style B lasers have a threaded tip, so they’re compatible with converters that change the shape of the laser, so you can perform a variety of tasks with the same tool.

Pulley Aligning Lasers

Check that your pulley, gear, or sprocket system is properly aligned. These magnetic lasers stick to equipment made of steel. Project the laser beam down your belt or chain and look to see how it hits the target—you can determine angular and offset misalignment at the same time. The target has a machined surface that sits parallel to the contact surface for precise alignment. Adjust your setup until the laser line overlaps with the reference line on the target. These lasers are portable and battery powered, so they’re easy to use in spaces without outlets.
Red lasers are best for indoor environments, since they’re dimmer than green lasers.
Green lasers appear up to 10 times brighter than red lasers, so they’re easier to see outdoors or in bright indoor lighting, as well as from far away.
Lasers with one adjustable target have a single laser line that indicates offset and angular misalignment. A mirror on the target reflects the laser back to the transmitter’s reference line to show misalignment. No need to fuss with the traditional multi-target method.
Lasers with a built-in LED flashlight provide light in dim areas.

Dock Aligning Lasers

Help drivers center their trucks as they dock, no matter the weather or time of day. They shoot parallel bright green lines that can be seen up to 150 ft. away, even in direct sunlight. Where painted lines are less visible from snow, rain, fallen leaves, or darkness, these lasers stay visible. The included steel enclosures protect the laser from dust, debris, and the elements. The laser shoots through a hole in the side of the enclosure. You can also use these lasers indoors.
DC lasers can be connected to a controller, such as a programmable logic controller (PLC), to automate when the lasers turn on and off.

Roller Aligning Lasers

These lasers take aligning rollers from the traditional multi-tool, multi-person job to a one-tool, one-person job. Strap the transmitter to the roller you want to match and the receiver to the roller you want to check. Instead of aligning with lots of trial and error, these tools have a horizontal beam that shows if your rollers are aligned in the same plane, and a vertical beam that shows if the rollers are evenly spaced along their length. Simply adjust the roller until the beams line up with the tools' reference points.
In addition to being easy to use, these lasers were also designed to be useful in most roller setups. The adjustable straps allow you to secure them to different roller sizes and materials. They're also compact enough to fit in tight spaces between rollers.
Red lasers are best viewed indoors, since they’re dimmer than green lasers.
Green lasers appear up to 10 times brighter than red lasers, so they’re easier to see outdoors or in bright indoor lighting, as well as from far away.

Adjustable Dot-to-Line Leveling Lasers

Twist the head to switch between a dot, a horizontal line, or a vertical line. These lasers project accurate level references onto walls, ceilings, and equipment. The laser is red and is best viewed indoors.
When a single point of reference is enough, use a dot. Lines give you an extended reference, so you can level several objects without moving the laser. For stability, mount these lasers to a tripod (sold separately), or attach the magnetic base to a metal surface.
Lasers with straps can also be secured to nonmagnetic surfaces.

Single Dot Leveling Lasers

Verify your installation is level using a single reference point. These green lasers appear up to 10 times brighter than red lasers for visibility from farther away and in brightly lit areas, including outdoors. Five bubble vials confirm level, plumb, and a specific angle. One vial is a pitch gauge, which shows slope in 1/8" increments to help check drainage. For quick and easy mounting, these levels have a magnetic base. It's strong enough to hold even on vibrating equipment.

Multiple Dot Leveling Lasers

Project accurate level references onto walls and ceilings to hang light fixtures or install pipe. These lasers have four vials to verify the level, plumb, and square reference points are accurate. Because they’re red, the lasers are best viewed indoors. They have a screw-on mount to secure to a tripod, or you can use the magnetic base to stick them to equipment for quick checks. A V-groove on the body creates stability on curved surfaces, such as pipe or conduit. They’re powered by disposable batteries, so they’re portable and easy to use when you’re not near an outlet.

Combination Crosshair Line and Multiple Dot Automatic Leveling Lasers

Level equipment with confidence—in addition to a crosshair, these lasers also project plumb dots, so you know the laser is in the right spot. They’re an upgrade from a standard crosshair laser while remaining simpler than lasers with multiple crosshairs. Use these lasers to precisely install square elements, such as doors and windows. The crosshair extends along your wall, so you don’t have to reposition the laser often as you work around your room. If you set them on a surface, these lasers level themselves within about 4° and indicate when they are out of level. You can turn this function off when you want to make sure your crosshair is level with something other than the Earth.
Secure them to a tripod using the threaded mount or use the strong magnetic base to attach them to equipment. They come with a magnetic target, which you can mount in your space to reflect the laser beam to increase its visibility in dim conditions and at far distances.
Levels with two laser dots help you verify your installation is plumb with reference points above and below the tool. These red lasers are best for indoor environments, since they’re dimmer than green lasers.
Levels with five laser dots help you verify that your tool is positioned correctly in multiple dimensions with reference points above, below, behind, and to the sides of the tool without repositioning your laser. These green lasers appear up to 10 times brighter than red lasers, so they’re easier to see outdoors or in bright indoor lighting, as well as from far away.

360° Sweeping-Line Automatic Leveling Lasers

Set these lasers on any surface and they’ll level themselves horizontally within about 4°. They emit a beam of light 360° around the base, so you won’t have to keep repositioning them as you move around a space. Use them to align machinery, install conveyors, and check if walls are plumb. Visual and audible alarms alert you when the laser is beyond its leveling range. Adjust their vertical position manually. Mount these lasers to a tripod (not included) to level at a greater range of heights.
Red lasers are best viewed indoors. They include a laser detector, which indicates the height of the laser’s beam when you can’t see it, such as in bright lighting or at long distances.
Green lasers are four times brighter than red lasers, so you can see the beam outdoors and in bright lighting. They’re also easier to spot from far away. These lasers include a magnetic target, which you can mount at the height you need to reflect the beam, making it brighter and easier to see from a distance.
