Secure window frames and doors in walls where your drilling depth is limited. These anchors have similar strengths to double expansion anchors but only need about 75% of the installation depth. All have a sleeve that expands inside your hole to create a strong grip. The sleeve, commonly called a caulking sleeve, also creates a seal to block out air and moisture. Since the gripping force is distributed along the entire length of these anchors, they won’t crack soft materials like block and brick. They’re also known as caulk-in anchors.
To install, place the anchor into a drilled hole, cone end first. Insert an installation tool (sold separately) into the anchor to expand the sleeve over the cone. Then, position your component, insert a screw or threaded rod, and tighten. All create a permanent female-threaded connection that lets you remove and reinstall a screw or threaded rod. They cannot be used in overhead applications.
Adjustable-Depth Installation Tools—Use the adjustable stop to set anchors at consistent depths.
Quick-Set Installation Tools—For high volume tasks, turn with a power drill to speed up repetitive installations.

Light Duty Anchors for Block and Brick

Image of Product. Front orientation. Anchors. Light Duty Anchors for Block and Brick, Ribbed.

    Ribbed

These anchors grip the sides of your hole to resist twisting and pullout in block and brick. They’re an economical choice for mounting lightweight switches, security cameras, and clocks. All are the easiest anchors to install in block and brick but have the lowest strength.
To install, drill a hole slightly deeper than the anchor is long. Next, insert the anchor until it's flush with the surface. Then, thread a tapping screw through your component into the anchor and tighten. Remove your component by unfastening the screw, but the anchor itself cannot be removed.
Ribbed—Soft enough to conform to irregular, out-of-round holes, yet hard enough to hold securely. These anchors expand and distort to fit your hole while ribs add gripping force to prevent twisting. Removing and reinstalling your screw will not lessen the strength.
