Tethering Lanyards—Not for Use as Fall-Arrest Equipment

Keep workers away from areas of potential free fall by restricting travel to within a certain distance from an anchor point. A belt and lanyard must be used together.
Tethering Belts

Stay away from fall hazards. When anchored by a tethering lanyard, these belts limit your movement to keep you within safe working areas. They’re also known as travel restraint belts. Padding along the back adds support and reduces strain.
You will need a tethering lanyard, belt, and fall-arrest anchor for a complete fall-prevention system. Not for use as fall-arrest equipment.
Belts with D-rings on the hips are often used for work positioning.

Retrieval Lanyards

Stay straight up and down while being raised and lowered through narrow spaces. These lanyards clip into your harness’s shoulder D-rings to keep you from pitching forward. Grab onto the bar so your arms won't get caught on anything as you pass through manholes and other openings.
Not for use as fall-arrest equipment alone. Add them to a complete fall-arrest system, which includes a lanyard, harness, and anchor.
