Hazardous-Location Submersible Liquid-Level Transmitters
FM and C-FM approved, these transmitters safely measure liquid levels where explosive gas or dust may be present. Set them at the bottom of your tank in applications that make traditional mounting difficult. They sense liquid levels by measuring the pressure from the weight of the liquid above them. All continuously send measurements, so you can monitor status and manage components in your system. Also known as level loggers, level sensors, and pressure transducers.
Transmitters for liquids with solids have an unobstructed sensing element that resists clogging and sludge buildup in water with particulate and sewage.

Noncontact Liquid-Level Transmitters
Using high-frequency soundwaves, these transmitters measure the levels of corrosive, dirty, or sticky liquids without coming into contact with them. They’ll continuously send measurements, so you can monitor status and manage components in your system. Mount at the top of your tank. There should be no tank walls, agitators, or other objects in the path of the soundwaves.
Ultrasonic transmitters are often used to measure water, wastewater, chemicals, and oil but won’t work on vapors, foam, and other media that’s difficult to measure. The included fob allows you to connect your transmitter to your computer, where you'll download software that guides you through the setup process to make sure you get accurate readings. Ultrasonic transmitters with a button interface can be set up and calibrated without the fob. Transmitters with a switch can also signal your controller to turn components on or off when they reach a set level.
Radar transmitters are best for liquids that are tricky to measure because they work even if there’s condensation, foam, or other difficult conditions. They also measure the level of liquids with solids and small solids. In addition to the traditional 4-20 mA output, these transmitters can also send measurements to your Android smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth. There’s an app you can use to set up your transmitter and calibrate it for your system.
NEMA 6P rated transmitters protect against dust, weather, washdowns, corrosion, and submersion. IP68 rated transmitters seal out dust and water from temporary submersion.

Ultrasonic Transmitters
Measure the distance to objects and the level of liquids and materials despite size, shape, or surface finish, and send that information to other parts of your system. Unlike photoelectric switches, which use light to detect objects, these transmitters emit high-frequency sound waves that target small spots, so the surface and structure of your object won’t affect results. This makes them great for materials with uneven surfaces, such as granules and powder. They also sense objects in dirty and wet places, but they don’t work well where there’s wind, since it could disrupt their sound waves. Use their plug to quickly connect and disconnect to cables with a socket (sold separately). UL listed, C-UL listed, and CE marked, they meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.
All transmitters have an analog output, which means they continuously send measurements to monitor status and manage components in your system. Some also have a digital output that signals your controller to turn components on or off whenever an object is detected or a set level is reached. Those with IO Link connect to a programmable logic controller (PLC), so you can remotely change settings and receive error messages. You need an IO-Link controller (not included) to connect.
90° elbow transmitters are compact to fit in tight spaces. They’re best for conveyors.
Rated IP67, all of these transmitters seal out dust and water if briefly submersed.
