Quickly connect and disconnect these carabiners—they don’t lock.

Zinc-Plated Steel—Zinc-plated steel carabiners are mildly corrosion resistant.

Powder-Coated Steel—Powder-coated steel carabiners offer some corrosion resistance.

Anodized Aluminum—Anodized aluminum carabiners offer excellent corrosion resistance. They're also more lightweight than zinc-plated steel carabiners.

Aluminum—Aluminum carabiners are more lightweight and resist corrosion better than zinc-plated steel carabiners.

316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel carabiners have excellent resistance to salt water and chemicals.

Acetal—Acetal carabiners are lightweight, strong, and corrosion resistant.

Styles 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14—Styles 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14 secure rope to one end of the carabiner to prevent it from sliding or moving.

Style 5—Style 5 have a removable eye pin and secure rope to one end of the carabiner to prevent it from sliding or moving.

Style 11—Style 11 have a nonremovable eye pin and secure rope to one end of the carabiner to prevent it from sliding or moving.

Style 15—Style 15 have flat sides that keep webbing and strapping flat, so they won’t slide and bunch.

Offset Open Latch Position—Carabiners with an offset latch position open to the side, giving you more space to attach large items.

Slide-Locking-Latch Carabiners—Not for Lifting

Slide the lock down to open the latch and release it to lock these carabiners. The latch opens outward, giving you space to fit large-diameter rope. These carabiners are more secure than non-locking carabiners, but not as secure as twist-locking-latch or screw-locking-latch carabiners. The shape of the narrow end secures rope to prevent it from sliding or moving.
