    Bent Pointed Tips

Lock the tips closed to use these tweezers like a clamp.
Slim Tip—Tweezers with slim tips allow more visibility of your work than standard tips.
Bent Tip—Tweezers with bent tips reach over and around obstructions.
Cylindrical Tip and Paddle Tip—Tweezers with cylindrical and paddle tips are good for soldering. The cylindrical tip has a groove to hold a shank securely and the paddle tip is serrated to prevent movement.
Pointed Tip—Tweezers with pointed tips firmly grip an object but may nick or mar its surface.
Round Tip—Tweezers with round tips won’t mar or nick components. However, they don’t hold objects as well as pointed tips.
Square Tip—Tweezers with square tips are wide and flat for a good grip on thin sheets and labels.
400 Series Stainless Steel—400 series stainless steel tweezers have good corrosion resistance and harder, more durable tips than 300 series stainless steel, but aren’t quite as strong as steel. They are mildly magnetic.
300 Series Stainless Steel—300 series stainless steel tweezers have excellent corrosion resistance, but the tips are less durable than 400 series stainless steel. Commonly known as anti-magnetic tweezers, they are typically nonmagnetic but may become slightly magnetic with use.
Plastic-Coated Tip—The plastic-coated tips on round tweezers further protect components.

Hemostats enable intricate work in tight spaces and the jaws can be locked closed. The handle has interlocking teeth that allow you to adjust the clamping pressure.
Bent Nose—Hemostats with a bent nose reach over and around obstructions.
Double Joint—Double-joint hemostats open extra wide.
Plastic—Plastic hemostats resist corrosion from acids and are nonstick, so you can use them with glues and adhesives. They’re also nonmarring, so they prevent damage to your workpiece.
Plastic-Coated Tip—Hemostats with plastic-coated tips are nonmarring, so they prevent damage to your workpiece.

Hold small parts without the need to apply pressure. Squeeze these tweezers to open the tips and release to close them.
Offset Tip—Tweezers with offset tips keep whatever object they’re holding elevated when they’re set down on a surface. This is useful if you need both hands free.
Bent Tip—Tweezers with bent tips reach over and around obstructions.
Round Tip—Tweezers with round tips won’t mar or nick components. However, they don’t hold objects as well as pointed tips.
Square Tip—Tweezers with square tips are wide and flat for a good grip on thin sheets and labels.
Trapezoidal Tip—Tweezers with trapezoidal tips give you a good grip on large, flat components.
Hard Fiber Grip—Tweezers with hard fiber grip insulate against heat.
Plastic-Coated Tip—Plastic-coated steel tweezers won’t mar delicate components.
400 Series Stainless Steel—400 series stainless steel tweezers have good corrosion resistance and are mildly magnetic.

The spring in these pliers applies tension to your workpiece so your hand doesn’t have to. Just squeeze the handles to open the jaws and release to snap them shut. With a long, bent nose that curves around obstacles, they’re perfect for fishing small parts out of cramped spaces.
Flat Jaw—The most common style, these pliers have a broad contact area for gripping objects of various shapes.
Cushion Grip—Absorb pressure to make gripping and squeezing the handles more comfortable. They also add slip resistance for a secure hold.

    Curved Square Tips

Grip small objects without applying any pressure—the tips on these tweezers open when you squeeze them and close when you release. Swiss made to tight tolerances, they have the perfect tip alignment required for work under magnification. They’re 300 series stainless steel, so they have excellent corrosion resistance but their tips are less durable than those made of 400 series stainless. Commonly known as anti-magnetic tweezers, they are typically nonmagnetic but may become slightly magnetic with use.
Slim Tip—Tweezers with slim tips allow more visibility of your work than standard tips.
Curved Tip—Tweezers with curved tips reach over and around obstructions.
Bent Tip—Tweezers with bent tips reach over and around obstructions. They also have square ends for placing chips and electronic components on circuit boards. Also known as SMD (surface-mount device) tweezers.
Pointed Tip—Tweezers with pointed tips firmly grip an object but may nick or mar its surface.
Round Tip—Tweezers with round tips won’t mar or nick components. However, they don’t hold objects as well as pointed tips.
