A lockout for every style of circuit breaker switch—these lockouts clamp over your switch, so it doesn’t matter if it has a through hole. Secure these lockouts with a padlock. Less disruptive than locking access to an entire panel, they isolate a single circuit or group of circuits. These lockouts help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of electrical circuits to prevent injuries.

Style B have a compact profile for breaker boxes with tight clearance. Use a flat-head screwdriver to tighten them onto your switch. These lockouts have a warning label on the front for visibility. Made of 100% recycled materials, they’re rated UL 2809-2 to meet purchasing requirements in LEED-certified facilities.
For Single Pole—Single-pole lockouts secure a single switch.

Style C have a large plastic knob that’s easy to tighten, even if you’re wearing gloves.
For Single Pole—Single-pole lockouts secure a single switch.
Mounting Cleat—Use mounting cleats for switches with a recess that’s too large for your lockout. To prevent accidental flipping when locked out, attach the cleat to your lockout and it will wedge into your switch’s recess.
Cable Tie Slot—Lockouts with a cable tie slot let you apply tags directly to the lockout instead of attaching them to a padlock. To secure multiple lockouts with one tag, run one cable tie through adjacent lockouts. These lockouts won’t open until the padlock is removed and your cable tie is cut. There are slots for up to three ties for group lockouts.

    Lockouts

    Lockouts with Cable

    Tie Slot

From a single point, lock out multiple breaker switches—these lockouts wrap around an entire tie bar so it won’t budge. Compared to clamp-on lockouts, they’re more secure because they affix below the switch. They lock with a padlock to keep circuits closed during maintenance. Less disruptive than locking out an entire panel, they lock out one tie bar. You can’t use them on single-pole switches. These lockouts help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of electrical circuits to prevent injuries.
Cable Tie Slot—Lockouts with a cable tie slot let you insert a tie so you can apply lockout tags directly to the lockout instead of attaching them to a padlock. This adds an extra layer of security—even after you remove your padlock, these lockouts won’t open until you cut off your cable tie. Run one cable tie through adjacent lockouts to secure them all.

    Switch

More secure than clamp-on lockouts, these lockouts have pins that slot into the holes on your switch housing from the outside. They’ll secure switches connected by a tie bar, too—attach them to just one of the switches to lock out all of the switches connected to the tie bar. Lock them with a padlock to prevent accidental flips during maintenance. They fit best if your switch is narrow or has side clearance. They help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of electrical circuits to prevent injuries.

    Circuit Breaker Lockout Bars

Image of ProductInUse. (Padlock Not Included). Front orientation. Contains Annotated, MultipleImages. Lockouts. Circuit Breaker Lockout Bars.

    (Padlock Not Included)

Snap these bars into place to block circuit breaker switches from being flipped—even large, high-voltage switches. They attach to mounts on either side of your switch to physically block its movement. Secure them with a padlock. Use these lockouts to either keep equipment from starting up when it’s getting repaired or prevent critical equipment from powering down. After you’ve locked out a switch, you can still use the rest of your breaker box. These lockouts help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of electrical circuits to prevent injuries.
For a complete lockout, you’ll need a bar and two lock mounts. You can either buy them individually or in a kit. Choose a red bar to lock out the off position; choose a green bar for the on position.

    (Padlocks Not Included)

Image of Product. Front orientation. Lockouts. Circuit Breaker Group Lockouts, Clamp On.

    Clamp On

Secure a single breaker switch with multiple padlocks to keep electricity safely off until the entire team is finished with a maintenance task. The key that unlocks these lockouts is at the end of a 2-ft. cable—wind it through the lock mount and secure by adding a padlock for each person working. The key is released only when all padlocks are removed.
Less disruptive than locking access to an entire panel, these lockouts isolate a single circuit. Because they're small and don't hold the padlocks, you'll still have room in your breaker box to flip adjacent switches on and off or close the panel door. These lockouts help your organization comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, which requires electrical circuits to be locked out during maintenance to prevent injuries.
Clamp On—Clamp-on lockouts can be installed on switches with or without through holes, since they clamp onto the surface of the switch.
