Wraparound Valve Handle Lockouts

Close your valve, remove the handle, and store the handle in the lockout's zippered pouch. The lockout fits around the pipe, covers the valve stem, and secures the pouch's zipper to prevent valve operation. Write-on labels are included. It helps you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 procedures for the control of energy sources that could injure workers.

Valve Stem Lockouts
When your valve has a small handle or no handle to secure a lockout onto, these compact lockouts prevent accidental turns. They make sure your line doesn’t start up and cause injuries while repairs are happening downstream. These lockouts help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of hazardous energy.
Cover lockouts twist on and off your valve easily. They consist of a bottom disc that fits around the base of your valve stem and a cover that attaches to the disc. Secure the cover to the disc using a padlock (not included). Attach the disc to your stem by tightening the included clamp with a screwdriver. The disc doesn’t interfere with valve operation until the cover is on, so these lockouts are a great choice for valves that need to be frequently closed and locked out. They’re also good for lines that you lock in the open position to prevent tampering, such as fire extinguishing water lines.
Cable lockouts are quick to install, so they’re ideal for temporary use. Just place the body over your valve stem and secure by wrapping the cable around your pipe. You can continue pulling the cable tighter after locking. Made of plastic-coated steel, the cable is durable and won’t scuff your pipe. If the body doesn’t fit your stem, use the included rubber inserts to change the diameter. These lockouts have holes for up to 4 padlocks, so each person performing repairs can add their own lock to ensure safety. To add even more padlocks, put a hasp in the largest hole.
