High-Temperature Thread Sealants

These sealants have high locking strength, so they work in demanding applications, such as securing mounting studs in motor housings. They also withstand applications with large temperature swings.
Heat cure sealant requires heat of at least 212° F to harden. Above 300° F, the sealant hardens in about 15 minutes. For temperatures below 300° F, it may take up to 4 hours to harden. It requires both heat and a hand tool to unthread.
Sealants that cannot be sold to the listed regions are restricted due to VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations.
