Steel Phillips/Square Drive Pancake Head Drilling Screws

Secure framing to metal up to 3/16" thick where clearance is too tight for other rounded-head screws. Also known as panel clip screws, these have a slim pancake head that creates a nearly flush finish. The head's flat underside makes more contact for a better hold on thin materials, such as sheet metal and plywood. Drill and fasten screws in one step using a Phillips driver. For more torque, you can also use a square driver.
Length is measured from under the head.

Steel Torx Flanged Rounded Head Wood Screws

Prevent splitting and other damage from high torque when fastening surfaces such as cabinets, trim, and molding. The flange on these screws spreads pressure evenly across a wide area. All have a domed head. The Torx drive handles torque better than slotted, Phillips, and hex drives. Also known as star drives.
Drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the screw to prevent splitting. Length is measured from under the flange.
