Plastic Syringes

Made of plastic, these syringes are shatter resistant and suitable for use with a variety of liquids. However, they’re not as scratch resistant as glass or stainless steel syringes and less precise than glass ones.
Syringes with a luer slip connection connect to needles with a luer lock connection simply by sliding the needle onto the fitting—it will be held in place by friction rather than a locking mechanism.
Autoclavable syringes can be sterilized for reuse. Repeated sterilization may lead to discoloration over time.

Precision-Dispensing Glass Syringes

A turn of the threaded plunger dispenses extremely small quantities—as small as a speck of dust. The fine threads on these syringes inch the plunger forward with every turn for a controlled, precise flow. You won’t accidentally push too much out with these syringes.
A glass barrel adds to their precision. It’s made to a tighter tolerance than a plastic barrel, so the plunger seals against the barrel and wipes it clean as it moves, dispensing every last drop. The glass barrel is also durable and resistant to chemicals, so it’s unlikely to wear or warp from your sample for a long, reliable life. Thanks to their precision, these syringes are often used for gas chromatography.
Attach a needle with a luer slip connection. Slide a needle onto the fitting and friction will hold it in place.
Before autoclaving these syringes, disassemble them. Keep in mind that autoclaving can reduce their lifespan, so chemical sterilization is preferred.

Glass Syringes
Made to a tighter tolerance than plastic syringes, these glass syringes are better at dispensing small, precise samples with little left over. They’re also durable and resistant to chemicals, so they’re unlikely to wear or warp from your samples, so they'll have a long, reliable life. Their precision makes them great for gas chromatography.
For quick and easy needle connections, choose between luer lock and luer slip syringes. Syringes with a luer slip connection use friction to hold a luer lock needle in place. Since they don’t have a locking mechanism like luer lock syringes, their connection isn’t as strong.
Syringes without a piston resist wear and are nearly frictionless to operate. Syringes with a piston are ideal for use with gases because the piston creates a leak-free, gastight seal against the barrel. They’re also great for liquids that don’t fully mix—the piston’s seal wipes off any deposits from liquids. With no deposits, the plunger won’t get stuck while dispensing. The piston’s seal is also tight enough that the plunger won’t retract on its own, so you can dispense from these syringes in a slow, controlled manner.
Autoclavable syringes must be disassembled before autoclaving. Keep in mind that repeated autoclaving can reduce their lifespan, so chemical sterilization is preferred.

Syringe Filters

Filter out contaminants when drawing in and dispensing from syringes with a luer lock connection.
PES filters are the easiest to push samples through. They have strong, tight fibers that won't get clogged or break as easily as standard filters. Use them with large volumes and samples with plenty of debris.
PTFE filters have better chemical resistance than nylon filters.
Glass filters are often used before plastic filters to capture larger particles.

PTFE-Coated Stainless Steel Dispensing Needles with Luer Lock Connection

Precisely dispense sticky adhesives and liquids. The needle is stainless steel, so it stays rigid during application. It’s coated with slippery PTFE to prevent clogging, even from instant-bonding adhesives. Attach them to syringes that have a luer lock or luer slip connection.

Mixer Nozzles for Two-Part Adhesive Cartridges

To simultaneously mix and dispense two-part adhesives, attach these mixer nozzles to a dual cartridge. Mixing elements help combine the two parts of an adhesive as it flows through the nozzle. A short nozzle with many mixing elements combines adhesive while minimizing the adhesive left in the nozzle after dispensing. Choose a nozzle that matches the connection type, size, and mix ratio of your adhesive cartridge.

Luer Lock Tube Couplings for Plastic and Rubber Tubing—High-Purity

- For Use With: Air, Water
- Temperature Range: Nylon Plastic: -50° to 275° F
Polyolefin Plastic: Up to 355° F
Polypropylene Plastic: -5° to 150° F - Tubing: Use with soft or firm (Durometer 50A-95A) polyolefin plastic, PVC plastic, silicone rubber, TPE plastic, or TPU plastic
To prevent contamination, these couplings are cleaned, double bagged, and packaged in a clean room. This makes them a great choice for applications where cleanliness is critical, such as semiconductor manufacturing. Known for their versatility, they fit any luer lock plug, socket, syringe, or needle. They’re quick to attach and detach, so they’re often used in lines that are frequently disconnected. Thanks to their compact body, they fit in tight spaces. Use them in low-pressure applications.
Note: For a complete coupling, order a plug and a socket.
Barbed couplings securely grip tubing and hose.
Nylon couplings have excellent impact and abrasion resistance. Use them in general purpose applications. Polyolefin couplings are BPA-free and autoclavable. Polypropylene couplings resist moisture and chemicals, including solvents. They also stand up to impact and abrasion.
Plugs without a locking ring are quicker to install and remove than those with a locking ring. Also known as luer slip plugs, all they need is a light push to secure. Add a snap-on ring (sold separately) to lock the coupling in place and color code your line.
