Corrosion-Resistant Low-Profile Strip Switches

Made with stainless steel conductors, these switches resist corrosion in damp areas. They’re less than 1/4” thick, so they’ll fit under floor mats and in other tight spaces. Control doors, lights, and alarms by pressing or stepping anywhere along the switch to actuate it. They’re more rigid than other strip switches, so mounting channels aren’t necessary—just stick them in place with mounting tape.

Safety Switch Mats
Prevent personnel from getting too close to dangerous equipment while it’s running. Step anywhere on these mats and they can turn on warning lights and alarms or shut down equipment. To minimize circuit damage, they also activate if they detect any malfunctions in your equipment’s electrical system. A complete switch requires a mat and a controller (sold separately). Together they meet ANSI/RIA R15.06 safety requirements. Mats are rated IP65 for protection from washdowns.
Red mats are easy to spot in crowded areas and in dim light. They help you avoid stepping on them if you don’t want to stop machinery or to find them quickly if you do.
Mats with diamond tread have a raised pattern on the surface to add traction and prevent slipping. Made from aluminum, they’re more durable than plastic mats, and less likely to be punctured or damaged by impact. However, they’re also more rigid than plastic mats, so they can only be used on flat surfaces. These mats are often used in high-traffic welding shops and freight warehouses.
Optional frames secure mats to the floor. Punch holes in the frame to insert a screw anywhere along the length.

Strip Switches

Step or press anywhere along the switch to control doors, lights, or alarms. These switches are often placed across driveways and walkways to detect foot and vehicle traffic. Rated IP67, they can be temporarily submerged in puddles without the water harming their internal parts. These switches are bright yellow, so they can easily be spotted from far away. Made from PVC, they are flexible enough to conform to irregular and uneven surfaces.
