About Measuring Hose and Tube Clamps
What's the best way to determine the clamp size you'll need? Simply measure the outside diameter of your hose with the fitting installed. Some clamps accommodate a range of sizes, so be sure the size you need falls in the middle of that range.

Tensioners for Metal Strapping
Use these tensioners to draw metal strapping tight around packages. These tensioners hold the bottom strap while either a feedwheel or gripper bites into the strap and tightens it.
Tensioners for open seals are for use on flat surfaces. Strapping is wrapped around the package and overlapped on top. Tensioners for closed seals are for use on irregular surfaces as well as rounded objects. Place the seal on one end and fold strapping back to form a hook, and then slide the other end of the strapping through the seal. Tensioners push against the seal as they tighten strapping.
Style A, B, and C tensioners have a lever handle that you squeeze to tighten the tension. They have unlimited ratcheting take-up, so they can be continually tensioned until tight. Style D tensioners have a wing handle that you spin to tighten the tension. They have limited ratcheting take-up, so they can only be tensioned to a certain point before they need to be reset. When the gripper moves all the way back to the handle, you’ll know they need to be reset.
Note: To match with compatible metal strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

High-Tension Tensioners for Metal Strapping

These tensioners apply maximum tension to pull strapping more tightly around packages than standard tensioners for metal strapping. They work on irregular surfaces as well as rounded objects. Place the seal on one end and fold strapping back to form a hook, and then slide the other end of the strapping through the seal. Tensioners push against the seal as they tighten strapping, creating high tension without slip. Pull strapping tight manually before applying tension.
Style A tensioners have a wing handle that you spin to tighten the tension. Style B, C, and D tensioners have a lever handle that you squeeze to tighten the tension.
Tensioners with limited ratcheting take-up can only be tensioned to a certain point before they need to be reset. Tensioners with unlimited ratcheting take-up can be continually tensioned until tight.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

Sealers for Metal Strapping

Also known as crimpers, these sealers secure seals (sold separately) onto metal strapping.
Sealers for open seals cut two notches on each side of the seal with one operation. Sealers for closed seals cut a single notch on each side of the seal with one operation. For best results, apply two notches per seal.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

Combination Tensioner/Sealers for Metal Strapping

These tools do double duty, pulling metal strapping tight and then fastening it, without the use of a separate seal. They create a joint by crimping interlocking notches into the strapping and cutting off the excess.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

Buckles for Light Duty Metal Strapping

Use these buckles to secure Light Duty Metal Strapping around pipe or packages. They feed onto strap ends before tension is applied with a tensioner.
Aluminum buckles are lightweight.
304 stainless steel buckles have good corrosion resistance.
316 stainless steel buckles have better corrosion resistance than aluminum and 304 stainless steel buckles.
Note: To match with compatible metal strapping, choose items with the same strapping material and strapping group number.

Seals for Metal Strapping

Use a sealer to crimp these seals onto metal strapping to keep it under tension.
304 stainless steel seals are more corrosion resistant than zinc-plated steel seals.
Open seals are for use on flat surfaces. They snap onto overlapping strap ends during or after application of tension. Closed seals are for use on irregular surfaces as well as rounded objects. They feed onto strap ends before tension is applied with a tensioner.
Note: To match with compatible metal strapping, choose items with the same strapping material and width or material and strapping group number.

Hose and Tube Clamp Pliers

Install hose and tube clamps with these specially designed pliers.
Pinch clamp pliers crimp pinch clamps closed on hose and tube. Those with straight jaws must be used perpendicular to the hose. Pliers with straight and side jaws are good for tight spaces because you can use them parallel or perpendicular to your hose. Pliers with a center handle reduce the fully open grip span. They also have a higher closing force than other pliers, so they require less strength to crimp pinch clamps closed.
Spring clamp pliers install and remove spring-tension hose clamps. Pliers with adjustable tips accommodate different sized flat-band hose clamps.
Spring-band clamp pliers have jaws specially designed to grip spring-band clamps which are often found on heater and radiator hose. Pliers with flat jaws have a cross-cut tip design to grip most hose clamps from multiple angles. Pliers with a 35° head angle are good for low-clearance spaces. Pliers with a flexible cable allow access to hose and tube clamps that are difficult to reach.
Cushion grip pliers have plastic grips for comfort. Ultra grip pliers have a grip made of hard and soft materials for comfort and slip resistance. They are shaped to fit comfortably in your hand and reduce strain from repetitive tasks.
