High Spot Blue Marking Paste

Identify high spots, interference points, and improper fit on bearings, gears, and valves. Apply this blue paste, also known as engineers’ blue, to parts or components and assemble them into working position. Any improper fit will show up as a blue streak. Paste cannot be sold to the listed areas because it exceeds local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Remove paste with Marking Fluid Remover.

Marking Fluids

Stain metal items such as bearings, springs, nuts, and other components. These fluids repel oil, adhere without flaking and scaling, and won’t interfere with part performance.
Opaque fluids conceal the color of the part.
Transparent fluids allow the color of the part to show through and are thinner and dry faster than opaque fluids.
Fluids that cannot be sold to the listed areas exceed local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
Anodizing Dyes

Use these dyes after anodizing and before sealing to add a decorative appearance. One bottle makes two gallons of dye.
Multi-color assortment includes one bottle of each of the colors listed.
Anodizing Kits
Build your own anodizing system to add a corrosion- and chemical-resistant coating to aluminum parts. Kits include a plating instruction manual as well as the chemicals, containers, and many of the accessories required for the five steps—degreasing, deoxidizing, anodizing, dyeing, and sealing—of the anodizing process.
Kits also include mist suppressant and control balls to limit fumes; an agitation pump for a consistent anodized finish; a spray bottle for rinsing parts between steps; and a thermometer. They contain enough degreaser, deoxidizer, and sealer to anodize 100 square feet of aluminum surfaces. Dyes and replacement chemicals are sold separately.
Each step requires an external heat source (not included). For low-temperature steps, such as deoxidizing and anodizing, use a plastic pail with an immersion heater. For high-temperature steps, such as degreasing, dyeing, and sealing, use a plastic pail with a high-powered immersion heater or an enamel tank with a hot plate. Kits also require a DC power supply, battery acid, and conductive wire (not included).
